Saints, a holy day of obligation. Masses will be offered at 12:05 and 7 p.m. in the church.

All Souls Day MassThe Commemoration of All the Faithful Departed, All Souls is November 2. Mass will be offered at 7 p.m. in the church. This is also First Friday.

Veterans DayOn November 10 and 11 we will honor our veterans by remembering our family members, both living and deceased, who have served in the armed forces. Would you share a picture of your special family member with the parish? You may begin bringing your framed photos on November 3 and 4. Please place them on the vestment case in the sacristy. We will display them on November 10 and 11.

Honoring Our Dearly DepartedNovember is the month that we typically pray for those who have died. As part of our prayer, we at Holy Rosary will honor our deceased parishioners with candles on the altar in their honor during November. On November 4nd to commemorate those who died in our parish over the past 12 months, we are asking a family member or representatives to join us as we begin our liturgy to carry a candle up to be placed on the altar in a loved one’s honor. Please arrive at 8:55 a.m. in the back of the church. A candle will be placed in honor of: Ron ElmoreLoretta AdamsWolfgang FlorCharles "Chick" Sandreth Toni CerulloEmerick Cerullo

Remembering the DeadDuring the month of November, we especially remember our beloved dead with prayers, thoughts and Mass intentions. We are called to “remember our sisters and brothers who have gone to their rest.” (Eucharistic prayer II) During November, we will have a remembrance book in the vestibule of the church. Please feel free to inscribe the names of those whom you wish to remember in this book. We will pray for all of these special people during the month of November. Please take a moment to look at this book and remember the dead in your prayers. Again, thanks for all that you do for our parish.

Our Church Needs You!Would you be willing to sign up to pray one (1) decade of the rosary from now until the beginning of Advent (Dec. 2nd)? You pick the decade that you would pray

each day. You may say: one Our Father, ten Hail Mary’s and one Glory Be while meditating on the one mystery of the rosary daily. You can pray this any time of the day, any place or any location. Let’s pray together for our church, our priests and for our leaders for the next 4 weeks. Join us! Sign up sheets are in the hall. If you don’t make it in the hall to sign up, start anyway and you can sign up anytime.

Donations, Please!Students: can you help us with our Diaper Bank? We are in need of baby wipes and we would like to ask all of our School of Religion students to bring in some wipes to help us out. Parishioners: you are welcome to help with this project as well! Of course we can always use diapers for our Diaper Bank. Please donate your baby wipes during the month of October.Thank you for your generosity.

Fr. Joe is AwayFr. Joe will be away from the parish to attend his nephew's wedding in Louisiana, He will leave on Wednesday the 24th of October and return in the evening of Monday, October 29.  Fr. John Beckley, a Marist Priest from Wheeling, will take Fr. Joe's place for the daily and week-end

Masses.  He and Bro. Roy will be here to assist you in any needs or emergencies. There will not be a Mass in the hospital on Tuesday morning, the 30th of October.

Thanks for RespondingThank you so very much for your donations to St. Frances de Sales Church, a poor rural parish in North Carolina recently devastated by Hurricane Florence and flooding. Because of your kindness, because of your concern, our parish was able to send $2,000 to the people of that parish. God bless you and keep you in his care.

New Building UpdateThe Holy Rosary Building Committee recently decided that the parish will not go forward with the new religious education/office building at this time.  The project was tabled and will be revisited at a later date because repairs are needed for existing facilities.

Notice You will see on the left side of the church entrance a marker set in front of the angel. This marker is not a tombstone but a commemoration of the dignity and value of all life from conception to natural death. Our Knights of Columbus Council from Elkins has
