The successful candidate will require the following attributes: REQUIREMENTS Hotel general management experience in a similar position Hotel Management Diploma and/or equivalent qualification CORE COMPETENCIES Strong leadership abilities Clear communication skills (written and verbal) Attention to detail and initiative Excellent organizational skills Negotiation and problem solving skills Industrial Relations experience Sales & Marketing experience Financial & Administrative Skills: o System experience in Excel, Pastel and PMS o Invoicing, processing and collection of debtors o On-line banking and creditors processing o Cash flow management o Internal auditing Presentable, well-spoken individual Willingness to work flexible hours Highest level of competitive standards and service DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES The position will report to the Newmark Hotels Operations Director and will liaise with: The Group Revenue Manager The Group Sale & Marketing Manager The Group Human Resources and Salaries Department The Senior Group Financial Manager The Restaurant Operator The La Splendida team: o To ensure guest satisfaction and maximize customer service o To train, develop & motivate all personnel o To produce accurate reports o To perform duty management shifts if and when required o To maintain all hotel records
