ACTIVITY SELECTION: Limited spaces for each activity, so book in early!!

WEEK 1: Monday 6th January

Excursion – BBQ Casey fields - Welcome to the January 2020 Teenage Holiday Program. To start our January holiday program. We like to start this holiday program with a welcome BBQ so you can get to meet old friends and make new friends. Please us at Casey Fields. Enjoy all the facilities on offer. The park offers climbing ropes, slides and sandpits. Meet new friends, relax, socialise and enjoy group activities.

Tuesday 7th January Excursion – Sunny Ridge Strawberry Farm - Come join your friends at the Sunny ridge strawberry farm You will purchase a container to place the strawberries in and walk through the paddock to pick strawberries to take home for your family. Have lunch at the café. Relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Please bring along a cooler bag to put your strawberries in.

Wednesday 8th January Excursion – Big Goose Come along for a day at the Big Goose Fun park. Wander around the farm and feed the animals. Take a ride on the tractor, watch the farm dogs rounding up the sheep. Play on the pillow trampoline, check out the reptiles, play mini golf. The Big Goose is a great place to chill out with your friends. Relax in the gazebo and have your morning tea and lunch.

Thursday 9th January Excursion – Sports Day at Blairlogie - Come over to Blairlogie and join in the Sports day competition. Play basketball, cricket or cheer on your friends. Relax and enjoy BBQ, sausages, hamburgers and cookies for dessert at Blairlogie. Participate in the many games on offer for the day. Take a look around at the property check out our tepee, archery range. Take a ride on the bikes.

Friday 10th January Excursion – Mini Golf - Come along and join us in a fun day at the Dingley Mini Golf complex. Compete against your friends. Split into teams and participants against the staff. Relax and enjoy lunch with your friends at the café. Then back to Hallam Community Centre to enjoy games e.g. board games, bring along games from home that you can share with your friends and watch DVD’s. Bring along your favourite DVD.

WEEK 2: Monday 13th January

Excursion – Gumbuya World –Come along to Gumbuya world and enjoy a day of fun swimming, water slides, rides, animals and relaxing in this fun park. Enjoy walking around the animals. Bring along extra money if you are going to purchase your lunch. Bring your bathers, towel and a change of clothes. Gumbya has just opened their next stage of exciting new activities to participate in. Come along for a great day out with your friends.

Tuesday 14th January Excursion – Movies - Come along to Reading Cinema’s. Please look up the latest movies and let us know what you are interested in seeing. Please bring extra money for popcorn and a drink. Please also bring your companion card. After the movies take the opportunity to walk around the Dandenong shopping centre.

Wednesday 15th January Excursion – Gravity Zone - Join us today for a fun day at Gravity Zone. Enjoy the fun of jumping on the various trampoline tracks. Show your friends what skills you have learnt on the trampoline. There is also laser tag if you are interested.

Then back to the Hallam Community Centre for the afternoon for a relaxing movie afternoon.

Thursday 16th January Excursion – Bowling - Drive to the Cranbourne Botanical gardens for a relaxing walk and have lunch before travelling to the Narre Warren bowling centre to play 2 games of competition bowling with your friends. You will then go to Hallam Community Centre to relax, discuss and plan future holiday activities for 2020. Bring along brochures of places that you have been to with your family. This is a good opportunity for you to have a say about the activities that you would like to participate in.

Friday 17th January Excursion – Australian Open Tennis - Take the opportunity to come along and enjoy a day of watching tennis walking around and participating in the fun activities on offer. You may spot tennis greats along the way in practice sessions. This promises to be a fun day out. This activity offers you the opportunity to get involved in the atmosphere of Melbourne’s major yearly event. Who knows who will see. As the month of January is warm please wear the appropriate clothing for this activity. Wear comfortable shoes as there will be a lot of walking.

WEEK 3: Monday 20th

January Excursion – Melbourne Zoo - Come join us for a day at the famous Melbourne Zoo. Check out the Gorilla’s, Giraffes, Seals, Parrots, Zebra’s and the famous Meerkats. Bring along your lunch or money to buy lunch. Have a picnic on the lawn. The Melbourne Zoo is always a favourite with many people so please book in early for this fun filled day with your friends. As this is a very warm time in Melbourne please bring your hat, sunscreen and a water bottle.Please also bring along your companion card.

Tuesday 21st January Excursion – Casey Race - Come along and enjoy relaxing at the Casey Race swimming centre. The centre offers a 50metre swimming pool, interactive splash park, water slides, raft ride and space bowl, warm water pool. Bring extra clothing and a towel along to change into after you have finished swimming. Casey Race is very popular at this time of the year so book in early to secure your spot. There is a café at Casey Arc where you can purchase food and drink.

Wednesday 22nd January Excursion Tunza Fun - Come along to Fountain Gate and enjoy the many activities that Tunza Fun has to offer, Mini Golf, Laser Tag, Dodgem Cars and then proceed downstairs to have lunch at the food court. Please book in early. Tunza fun is the place to be over the holidays. Then go back to the Hallam Community Centre for the afternoon for a relaxing movie afternoon.

Thursday 23rd January Excursion – Cranbourne Botanical Gardens - Drive to the Cranbourne Botanical gardens for a relaxing walk and have morning tea and lunch. There are many activities to participate in at these beautiful gardens. Explore the various activities offered in these beautiful gardens. After lunch travel back to Hallam Community Centre to discuss with your friends and staff future holiday activities that you may like to do.

Friday 24th January Excursion – Raine Haine & Shine - The final day of the holidays, come along and enjoy a farm visit to Rain, Hayne & Shine. Walk amongst, chickens, goats, rats, a calf, a lamb, and other furry animals. Learn from the amazing staff at this farm, how to feed animals, how to handle the animals correctly. Bring along your camera if you want and take photos with the animals. This is a great day out.

Blairlogie is moving towards an electronic process for people to express their interest in activities. By emailing the forms back, it saves time and the need to use a slower post office mail system. Also, due to recent changes in the delivery of mail, it takes longer for the mail to be received by us.

Booking:

Please complete the expression of interest form and email/fax/post back to Jaye Caudwell (details on last page) by Friday 6th

December, 2019. Emailed and faxed forms are preferred. If you haven’t already registered for this program, a Blairlogie Intake Form, consent form will be sent out to you along with the NDIS Service Agreement. Please also send a copy of your NDIS plan so that we can document your goals and work towards these while you are on activity.

You will then be sent the NDIS Service Agreement if you have not already completed, NDIS Schedule of Supports for the activities that you have chosen and will need to be completed, signed and sent back by Wednesday 12th December, 2019. People will only be booked into activities when all forms are completed and returned.

Once the expression of interest and registration forms are returned, a confirmation letter will be sent to you. Blairlogie will invoice you for the out of pocket costs in 2 weeks.
