This introductory course teaches students the basics and advanced techniques of Three Dimensional modeling and computer animation.

Students will explore 3D modeling techniques using a computerized environment through various assignments and sequential demonstrations. Lighting, camera angles, atmospheric effects, and texture effects within the computer program will also be taught and discussed. Using the principles of 3D animation and storyboards, students will create computer objects and set them to specific motion. Story boarding, sketchbook assignments, and critiques will also be utilized in developing effective creative solutions for projects. All computer work is to be completed in the class computer lab. Software to be used includes DAZ Bryce, Sculptris, and integration of other software for special effects like Adobe Photoshop.

Students will be able to:

• Create wire frame models and complicated Boolean objects, using primitive shapes and tools through Bryce

• Use the tools of software to create landscapes
