- Teach students about the map and the Spanish alphabet

- Warm-up; go over useful expressions- hand out alphabet worksheet (with blank clocks for next week’s activities), go over proper pronunciation of letters.- sing the marching song with the alphabet- play hangman using useful expressions- name-game: students spell their names for the class and must repeat everyone’s names as they go along.

Tuesday, 8/12 -Tell time - Teach students to recognize and read time

- Warm-up; spell and pronounce- Recap of numbers by having students answer the math questions on their personal boards- While students still have their boards out, give them times that they have to write out on their boards- Play a recap time game: one volunteer per team goes up to the board. Then, another volunteer in that team must call out a time. If the time called out matches the one written on the board, they get a point.

Wednesday, 8/13 - Read and fill in gaps for basic dialogues, learn body parts

- Have students complete dialogues by using their new vocabulary, as well as be able to sing a song about body parts in Spanish.

- Warm-up; times- Pass out individual whiteboards and have students listen to five different dialogues where they must determine whether the dialogue is logical or illogical.- Pass out workbooks, have students write their names on the books, and complete pages 1 and 2.- Introduce the body, give students the lyrics for them to complete, then sing and do TPR (total physical response) with the students along with the song.
