Liverpool Asylum Seeker and Refugee Association (LARA)
What is LARA?
Liverpool Asylum and Refugee Association (LARA) is an asylum seeker and refugee-led group aiming to support and improve the wellbeing of asylum seekers and refugees in Liverpool.
We do this by: providing better information for people seeking asylum and
refugees in regard to the asylum process and services available for them in Liverpool;
helping each other, providing peer support, and sharing our skills
campaigning and lobbying for asylum seekers’ and refugees’ rights;
addressing issues concerning the wellbeing of people seeking asylum (e.g. hate crime, housing and mental health) and working in partnership with other groups to improve this.
