Good Morning, Class!
Today, we will take a look into Op Art! You will begin a Hand Op Art drawing after taking a look at some examples done by Victor Vasarely, one of the most influential Op Artists of the 50s and 60s.
“Op Art”, also called optical art, is a style of abstract painting or drawing that resembles an optical illusion. This style will often have precise shapes and colors that will appear as though it is a 3-D (three dimensional) object.
Examples:
Please keep a folder of your artwork so that it will be easily accessible for you to continue in the weeks to follow!
· Today’s goal: Understand what Op Art is and how Victor Vasarely influenced art during this time. Begin your op art hands drawing.
