PFA Halloween Disco Thankfully, since our appeal a few weeks back, we have had several parents come forward to support the school’s PFA. This means we can put on our much anticipated Halloween Disco. The fun starts at 6pm and lasts until 8pm. All LJS children are welcome. Safeguarding is very important to us so we match parents to children in the Hall before they are allowed to leave. Parents deliver and collect children from the school’s main entrance. If your child wishes to dress up they are welcome (we have prizes for the best dressed in each year group). Alongside our disco we have games and activities in classrooms. There is also the LJS Bouncy Castle in a classroom and we have a tuck shop room and café. Children typically bring around £3 (we charge for the games, tuck etc and there are prizes to be won). Tickets are on sale at break times priced at £2 (this includes a Hot Dog, veggie or meat). Please come along and join in the fun!
Lateness is becoming a real problem, in J8 last week there were 7 children late one morning. Please allow sufficient time to make your journey as children are missing parts of lessons etc by being late.
Smile Day Legacy Everyone got in the Smile Day feeling as you can see above. We also created a Smile Garden on the field. Some of the smiley faces we created can now be seen on the corridor near the Hall.

Well Done Ellie! Ellie Lund raised £188 for Marie Curie over the holidays by taking part in the Walk to Remember at Temple Newsam, Leeds. It is smashing to think that even ta her age Ellie is willing to give some of her time and energy to raising money for people less fortunate than herself. Well done Ellie.

Please return all slips before school closes for half term next Thursday 22nd October. Teachers from J1, J2, J3 & J4 will take their appointments in the library and J5, J6, J7 & J8 are in the Hall.
