Monday*Listen to Seed to Plant. Go to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q9btpSKpAgwon YouTube. This story is about how a seed grows into a plant. Think of your body as

the plant. Exercise activity: Stand up and get out of your chair. Stretch your arms above your head. Your arms will be the leaves. Put your feet together and your body is

like the stem. Your feet are like the roots and your head is like the flower. (See Picture)

After listening to the story think about if this story is fiction or nonfiction. (Remember Fiction books tell a story that is made up by the author. A Nonfiction book give you

information that you can learn about something or someone.)Questions to think about: What is in a seed? What do seeds turn into? What is the main idea of this book? What are some things

you may have learned from the book.*Write 3 to 4 sentences telling me if this book is fiction or

nonfiction, what is the main idea, and some things you learned from listening to the book.

*Read the passage Plants are Living Things and write the five things plants need to make food.

*Watch the long “u” / u_e / My Growing Brain video on YouTube. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DCSBi7Gz6jQ*Rainbow write spelling words.

*Cut out sight word flash cards found in your learning packet. Review flash cards every night.

App from your clever account at Clever.com and using your clever badge to login. The Parts of a Plant Assignment includes watching The Parts of a Plant video and taking the easy quiz. I have also added in a game for you to play about putting the parts of the

plant together.*Listen to The Parts of a Plant (song for kids about flower/stem/leaves/roots) on YouTube.

*Use sidewalk chalk if you have it and practice writing your spelling words and sight words outside.

*Login to BrainPop Jr. (You can access this through Clever.) Complete the Compound Word Assignment.
