WELCOME TO BEIBEI AMIGOS LANGUAGE PRESCHOOL FAMILY

1. What should I bring with my child on the first day?

Please bring completed registration form, health immunization record, emergency blue card,

birth certificate and an extra set of clothes labeled with your child’s name on them. For full day

students, a small sheet and a receiving blanket.

2. Where will my child’s belongings and projects be kept?

Each child will be given a labeled cubby, which is in the child’s classrooms. Please check

and take home any paper or projects each day. Notices are send home by email or

clipped on the sign-in/out book.

3. What if my child cries and does not want me to leave?

All children and parents feel some anxiety about being in a new environment. Our

teachers are “in tune” with these feelings and are ready to comfort your child while you

make your exit. Prolonged good-byes generally cause more anxiety for your child.

4. What meals are included?

BeiBei Amigos Language preschool provides one morning snack and one afternoon

snack. Families are responsible for their child’s lunches.

5. What’s the procedure when I am picking up my child?

Sign your child out in the sign-in/sign-out book located in the lobby. Your child will only

be released to individuals you have indicated are authorized to pick up your child. This

authorization must be in writing.

6. What if my child need medication?

BeiBei Amigos Staff can only administer medication to children that has diabetes or

Asthma. Please note: any other medication cannot be administered on a daily basis.

7. How will I know what my child has done during the day?

There’s a parent information center in each classroom that displays the teacher’s lesson

plan and special events of the day. Please also read the daily note(s) on your child lunch

boxes or backpacks.

8. When do I pay tuition?

All tuition is payable in advance on a weekly basis. If tuition is not paid by the first

schedule attendance day of each week, a late fee will be assessed.

9. What if I have instructions or problems involving my child?

Please write down any special instructions and give them to the teacher in charge.

10. When are parent/Teacher conferences?

You may request a conference at any time with the Teacher. Schedule this meeting

through your Director.

11. Can my child bring toys to school?

We ask that NO toys be brought to BeiBei Amigos. We feel we have plenty of

challenging activities and do not want your child’s toy to get lost or broken. However, on

show and tell days your child may bring books, tapes, or science items.

12. What if my child becomes ill during the day?

If your child becomes ill, we will call you and ask you to pick up your child within an hour

so he or she can rest comfortably at home.

Dear BeiBei Amigos parents,

As you know, a child at our school has a serious allergy to nuts, nut products, and

peanut butter.

While some food allergies cause upset stomach or mild rashes, nut allergies can cause:

A severe allergy reaction called anaphylaxis which includes severe swelling of the

throat and tongue, difficulty breathing, drop in blood pressure, and if left

untreated, death.

These reactions can occur from eating the offending food, from inhaling the

scent, or from having the food touch the skin.

There is no cure for food allergies, so strict avoidance of the offering foods is key

to keeping all children healthy at our center.

BeiBei Amigos is a NUT- FREE ZONE. All areas of the building will be kept nut and peanut

butter free including:

The kitchen

All candy and food for children and Staff

Treats brought from home

Cookies, trail mix, and specially granola bars

Other necessary areas

Remember that BeiBei Amigos provides two snacks a day. If you should find necessary to

bring food from home, please be vigilant in checking labels.

Payments

Payments are due on the first day of the week/month. There will be a $50 late fee per account per week when payments are delinquent. For the monthly tuition students, it will be considered late on the 3rd of the month. For the weekly tuition students, it will be considered late on Wednesday of the week.

Tuition Increase

We may increase our tuition rates at any time by giving you at least one month’s prior notices.

Supply Fee

A supply fee is due at the beginning of each semester (Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer). The current supply fee is assessed at $56/Quarterly.

Returned Check Fee

There will be a $25 service charge applied on all returned checks.

Late Pick-up Charges

BeiBei Amigos closes at 6:00pm. We feel it is unfair to keep our staff beyond this time. If you pick up your child after 6:00pm, there will be a $25 charge for the first 15 minutes the student was left in our care after 6:00pm. There will be a $1 charge per minute any time after 6:15pm. This fee will be added to your billing statement. Frequent late pick-ups may result in termination of enrollment.

If a parent/guardian has not called the school phone number with their whereabouts or has not arrived by 6:30pm the school will call your emergency contacts list in your child’s file. If no one can be contacted by phone then by state law we are required to call the local Police Department or CPS and either government agency will pick up the student. A note will be posted on the Front Office door by the Police Officer or CPS giving instructions as to what substation or CPS office the child has been taken to.

Overtime Charges

Overtime rates are in effect as soon as your expected pick-up time passes or if you are dropping off early.

$5.00/hour for pre-arranged/notified/contracted child care, per child.

$3.50/15 minutes for un-notified, non-contracted child care, per child.

Over time is always rounded up to the nearest 15 minutes. All overtime will be calculated into the next tuition due.

Multiple Child Discount

Bei Bei Amigos offers the following discounts.

A 10% discount is offered on the tuition of the oldest child.

Income Tax Child Care Deduction

Please keep copies of billing statements for Income Tax purposes.

Vacation / Sick days

Regular student attendance means more success for your child. When your child is absent, please call the Director by 9:00am to inform that the student will be absent. Tuition is due for both well and sick days. If your child is absent more than five (5) consecutive days due to a family emergency or serious illness (hospitalization), a note from a doctor is required. At that time, a credit may be issued upon approval from Administration.

Vacation Time Request

BeiBei Amigos requires a two week notice if a student will not be attending school for more than 5 days at a time. In this case BeiBei Amigos will not charge tuition for that week. Each student has two weeks permitted in a school year. Additional vacation time will require $100 deposit to hold student spot or disenrollment/enroll once the students return if there is open spot for enrollment (re-registration fee is required).

Withdrawal Procedure

All withdrawals must be in writing at least two weeks before the last day of school. Tuition charges will continue to accumulate for 14 calendar days following written notice of withdrawal. All accounts are due and payable at the time of withdrawal.

Extra Clothing

Each student is required to bring extra set of clothing to leave in the school. If BeiBei Amigos Language Preschool supplies a student with a type of clothing (pants, shirts and/or underwear) from our student clothing drawer, parents need to return the supplemented clean clothing within one week or there will be a $25.00 charge on your invoice.

Please read carefully. Your signature is considered legally binding and a contract between you and the school.

1. I agree to pay the tuition according to the plan selected and that weekly tuition payments are due first day of the week and the monthly tuition payments are due first day of the month. I understand that there will be a late charge of $50.00 per account per week when payments are delinquent. For the weekly tuition students, it will be considered late on Wednesday of each week. For the monthly tuition students, it will be considered late on the 3rd of the month. There will be a charge of $25.00 for any check returned to the school. If the account remains delinquent after 30 days past the due dates, I understand that my child(ren) will be disenrolled from BeiBei Amigos Language Preschool and the matter will be sent to a collection agency which may include legal action.

2. I agree to pay, if applicable, all daily charges assessed for late pick-up of children after 6:00pm. I understand that a late fee is assessed after the 6:00pm closing of the facility. The cost is $25.00 for the first 15 minutes and $1 charge per minute any time after 6:15pm.

3. I agree to pay, if applicable, all daily charges assessed for overtime charges. Overtime rates are in effect as soon as your expected pick-up time passed or if you are dropped off early. The cost is $5.00/hour for pre-arranged/notified/contracted child care, per child. The cost is $3.50/15 minutes for un-notified, non-contracted child care, per child. PHOTO AND FILMING RELEASE

BeiBei Amigos Language Preschool has need from time to time to prepare film and video tape materials

for educational purposes, which include visual portrayal of a child or groups of children in our center.

The preschool staff will, in any such case, protect the integrity of individual children, and ensure that

such visual materials will be used in conformity with the highest standards of professional ethics.

Photographs and videotapes are taken of the children’s activities to be used in classes, Facebook,

school’s website, promotional ads or to be used for children’s developmental assessment.

In addition, occasionally BeiBei Amigos Languages Preschool participates in community events, where

local media may be present. Photos of children may be taken and published at these times.

However, there are occasions when a student creates a situation at school which inhibits learning. Since this is unfair to other students, such behavior will not be tolerated and will become grounds for expulsion from BeiBei Amigos Language Preschool®.
