BALLINROBE 3-DAY 2016
Western Lakes Cycling Club would like to welcome you to the 2016 edition of the Ballinrobe 3 Day. This is our 12th year running the event and here’s hoping it will be a good one. This year has seen the return of some old route favourites. Stage 1 (2pm) is more or less a flat stage with two short climbs sprints to kick start the KOH jersey competition, no one will win the race on this stage but many could lose it. Stage 2 (12pm) is where the roads start to rise. This 120k route will take in the scenic views of Lough Mask on this out and back format.Stage 3 (10am). The hardest stage of the weekend will see the rider tackle hard roads of Galway and Mayo where the race is bound to be decided. The A2 and A3 Leaders Jersey will be on show again this year along with the addition of Veterans prizes. The race has seen entries of teams and individuals trickle in over the last few weeks. It will be good to see some new faces in the bunch this year along with some familiar ones back to defend previous records and titles. Thank you to all the riders for entering the Ballinrobe 3 Day. The club wishes each and every one of you every success for the event and we hope to see you return in 2017.
OUR APPRECIATIONSo many volunteers both from within and outside the club join us each year and help make the race what it is. Without the help, support and enthusiasm of such individuals the event would not
be such a success. A big thank you to all involved on behalf of the organising committee.Without our loyal sponsors, partners, businesses, suppliers we would not be able to put on such a show. Thank you to all of them for their support this year.Western Lakes C.C. hopes you all have a safe, successful and enjoyable weekend.
