Writing Reading NumberUse this picture as a prompt to write a story.
Some things to think about:
Why are the crows gathering? Who is the girl in the picture? What is she carrying? Where has it come from? Why has she taken it? Where is she going?
Punctuation capital letters ABC full stops . question marks ? exclamation marks ! speech marks “
Remember to use wow words and connectives to make your sentences even better.
Self-assess your writing using 2 stars and a wish with sentence starters.“I like the way…….”“I could make it even better if….”
Choose a book to read.
Can you create a new front cover for it? It should be completely different to the real front cover and have a different title. Remember it should still be related to the story!
SpellingPractise spelling your tricky words in different ways e.g.
Vowel Circle
Write out each of your spelling words, then circle all the vowels. Remember a, e, i, o, and u are vowels.
Alphabetical Order
Can you challenge yourself by writing your tricky words in alphabetical order?
Continue to choose a few activities from your SEAL maths grid. What challenge will you choose – mild, spicy or hot?
