Year 6 Weekly NewsletterHello Year 6!

With the weather being awful this week I have been playing lots of board games with Harry and Ella, our favourite is Monopoly. I have also been helping Ella with her Year 8 homework which has been interesting! Harry has been completing his transition booklet for St Thomas Moore so we have been making sure he has completed each task to the best of his ability. I hope you are all well!

Mr Thorogood

Even though the weather has been horrible this week, I have still tried to go outside to exercise every day. Miss Lishman finally convinced me to go for a run and I am really enjoying it – perhaps it is easier to run in the rain than in the heat! I have also been reading lots, snuggled up on the sofa with a hot chocolate. I sent your letters to Armstrong House last Friday… I am still waiting for a response but I will let you know when they reply.

Hope you are all well and keeping safe!

Miss Sutcliffe

PSHE – This half term we are going to reflect on the last couple of months and consider our future. Make a list of any worries that you might have at the moment. Think about how you could deal effectively with these worries.

Remember that this is a very strange time and it is completely normal to feel worried about things. Your loved ones and teachers are there to listen and to support you.

Music -

Compose! – Can you make your own instrument at home? Once you have one can you play a repeating pattern or melody, or a sense of quietness or busyness and then create your own short piece of music based on this idea. Give your composition a title. You also have access to Music at home – Encore! Ages 10 – 11 to review work which you have completed this year.
