July 2019 Hello Faith Home School Tutorial Families, Welcome back to the 2019-20 school year at Faith! My name is Amy Vaughan, and I am so happy to be returning for my fifth year at Faith to teach secondary language arts. I cannot wait to see many returning faces and several new ones as well. What a privilege it is to assist you and your children as they grow and learn! This school year will be filled with exciting new lessons, activities, and learning material. English is a passion of mine and something that I enjoy studying and teaching. I love to read and am ready to share my love for this subject with my students. I knew from an early age that teaching was my calling and my gift from God so when I chose to attend Union University after high school graduation, I knew that the education department would be my home. While at Union, I joined a sorority and was a cheerleader – go Dawgs! I also met my husband Jason while at Union, and we have been married for 14 years. We are still very involved in our alma mater since my husband is the director of development. Plus, we enjoy attending basketball games and events as a family. Immediately after graduation and receiving my certification, I taught 11 th grade English in Humboldt for 5 years. When our son was born, I took a break from teaching to stay home to raise our kids. We have made our home in Medina where our son Elliott who is 9 will be in fourth grade this year. We also have a daughter named Abigail who is turning six and will be in first grade this year. While not working or caring for my children or home, I enjoy working out, reading, drinking coffee, and shopping. Our family attends First Baptist Church in Jackson and is blessed to be involved and supportive of this ministry. If you have any questions or concerns, don’t hesitate to contact me at [email protected]. Thanks for entrusting me with your child! I look forward to seeing you very soon. God Bless, Amy Vaughan

Hello Faith Home School Tutorial Families,

Welcome back to the 2019-20 school year at Faith!

Immediately after graduation and receiving my certification, I taught 11th grade English in Humboldt for 5 years.
