Since its inception in the year 2015, June 21st is celebrated as the International Day of yoga all over the world. This idea was proposed by our Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi. He said, "Yoga is an invaluable gift of ancient Indian tradition. It embodies unity of mind and body; thought and action; restraint and fulfillment; harmony between man and nature and a holistic approach to health and well-being. Yoga is not about exercise but to discover the sense of oneness with ourselves, the world and Nature. By changing our lifestyle and creating consciousness, it can help us to deal with climate change. Let us work towards adopting an International Yoga Day”, he said.

Keeping the spirit of international Yoga Day alive all across the world, our school organized yoga session for the students and staff on 21st June 2019, in School Campus.

It was a forty five minutes session. All the staff members and students participated enthusiastically in the program. Program started with Pranayama as a warm-up, followed by Surya Namaskar and ended with divine and peaceful meditation. It was all together a rejuvenating experience for the participants. Addressing the staff and students on the occasion, The School Principal, Dr. Manjusha Joshi appealed to include yoga in their daily routine for its wholesome and salubrious effects on the mind, body and soul.
