Dear Parents/Carers

I am writing to you regarding the safety of our children which is paramount and to explain a new system for collecting your child/ren from after school activities.

Starting from tomorrow we would appreciate your 100% co-operation in this matter. At the end of the school day, all the school gates will be locked at 3.15pm. This is to ensure that children who attend sports activities or our after school club (3.00pm-6.00pm) are safe whilst participating in any outside activities.

Parents must come to the door at the front of the school (not the main doors but the door a little further down on Ardwell Lane) to collect their children from after school activities. Teaching staff will bring the children down to the door and see pupils safely into the care of an adult. We have been concerned about the number of unknown adults in and around the school as often parents do not inform us who is collecting their child/ren and not all staff know all parents.

We request that parents do get out of their cars and collect their child/ren as the front of school is very busy and very dangerous. Please co-operate with us: all we want is to keep our children and school property safe.

Finally school closes on Friday 22nd May for half term and re-opens Monday 1st June.
