THE CHRONICLE Greetings members, Well another month is gone. October was a busy month. Remember I have asked the Members tocome together for BROTHLY LOVE and it started off a littlerough, I was invited to the $ 10,000.00 dinner and was told that only I could come, my wife, Sharlene was not invited. So I went and sat beside an empty chair. The night was nice, food was great, and it was another great job done by the committee. The word was going around that BROTHLEYLOVE was a joke. WELL its no JOKE as I saw two new candi- dates sitting at the bar, two of our members Donna Papp and Celeste Grant went over to them, introduce themselves and started talking. I looked over and another candidate who was
standing there was also invited over to join them. So, there is BROTHERLY LOVE at the lodge. And remember it’s also one the CARDINAL PRINCIPLES of ELKDOM in which you are a member.. So as we go into the months of November and December, the months of giving and being thankful, lets be the Lodge of BROTHLEY LOVE to one and all. We closed out October with so many members pitching in, My thanks to YAC for the pumpkin patch and the kids Halloween party, Entertainment committee for the Adult Party and the Band that played. To Ken Jewell for getting the dance troupe to be in the Annual Bordentown Halloween Parade and to the float committee and the marchers THANK YOU. Student of the month is back at the lodge, Great job by Dave Riggins, Wed night dinners and Special Children's breakfast is back and doing great. When I am asked about Bordentown I say; We always have something going on, Bordentown never stops doing for its members, veterans, Special Children or the community. Fraternally, Phil Tyler, ER

YOUTH ACTIVITIES
Our Soccer Shoot was held on a cold Saturday October 17th and was a success. Thanks to Valerie Hines, Don Wirth, and all who helped out. Our Student of the month program is underway again and Dave Wriggins does a great job with the families and the schools. Our Children’s Halloween Party was held on October 29th, and as usual, was a great even- ing. Thanks again to Don Wirth and Ellen Weckenbrock for being the backbone of this event. Our Pumpkin Patch washeld on October 18th and a big thank you to Doug Nelson and his crew for making this happen. As you can see October was a very busy month for this committee and without the help of our committee members, none of this would have been possible.Next up is our Hoop Shoot on November 21st. December is all about Christmas. On December 20th we will again holdour annual Children’s Xmas Party for our member’s families. This year immediately after the Xmas Party, we will be con- ducting a Live Nativity by our Gazebo beginning at 5 PM. This event is open to the entire Community. EllenWeckenbrock is the brains behind this great event, and it should be great exposure for our Committee and more im- portant, our Lodge. She is working on getting various community organizations to join us. I am looking forward to it.This committee is very hard at work as you can see, and as with other committees in the Lodge, we are always lookingfor new members to come up with new ideas for fundraising and giving back to the youth of our community and thisLodge. We meet on the 1st Wednesday of the month at 7:30 PM and all are welcome. Lou Gamba, Chairman

WORK*. The form shows you what information weneed. For ease on the committees it does not need to be this exact form, if the committee would prefer to give me a flyer they have, email me or drop the information in the mailbox that would be greatly appreciated!Photos in lodge please *DO NOT REMOVE*; public relations will rotate photos and place in a box when they are available for people to have.

Our committee wants to thank all who helped make ourDelaware Park Bus Trip such a success.*As part of our budget, we will be sending a check for$1000 to the NJ Mission of Honor for the Cremains ofAmerican Veterans.*We have adopted another soldier and his group. We will soon be shopping for MSGT Ismael Alicea, a friend of Michael Weckenbrock.. Ismael is our 23rd soldier we have adopted and on his wish list was two full size American Flags. Done deal, they are waiting to join the other things to be sent over..*Our toy box, in the bar, is happily waiting to be filled with toys for the children of our deployed troops. We need to get them to the Armory by the end of November and thank you, in advance, for any new, unwrapped dona- tions.*We will be going to Vineland, November 14th. We leave the lodge at 10am and get back around 4:30, stopping forlunch on your own. If you would like to come, let usknow. AmericanismThe Ten Principles of American Patriotism, 1 & 21. The fountainhead of American government and socie- ty – the most fundamental idea of all - is this: God is the mighty author of our being and the moral authority for our laws. The Declaration of Independence contains four ref- erenced o deity. They are “Natures God”,” Creator”, “Supreme Judge of the world” and Devine Provi-dence”. These make clear, that in the political theory articulated by the Founders of America, God, not govern-ment, is source of our freedom, our sovereignty, ourrights, our justice, our human dignity and all else which creates a good society and a society which is good. Therefore patriots recognize that we are “One Nation under God, and honor it in work and deed.2. The corollary idea to that, which our Founders, like- wise hold, is this: We are made in the image and likenessof God, and by virtue of our spiritual nature, every humanbeing is sacred, sovereign and inviolable. Therefore patri- ots recognize that “all men are created equal” and honorit in word and deed.As always, thanks to all who have donated cou-pons and thanks to all who support our 1st Wednesday of the month dinners and thanks to all faithful bingo play-ers who support our bingo ticket sales. We could not do what we do without your support.Ong o i n g pr ojec t s :*Collecting sample size toiletries, books, batteri e s , CD’s, DVD’s and all occasion greeting cards for Vineland and the troops and The Mission of Honor donations. . Also, we are still collecting manufac- turer’s coupons to send to our enlisted families over- seas. If you could take a few minutes, cut them out and divide them between food (anything you swallow, meds, etc.) and non food it would be a great help.Fraternally yours,Jim Sharpe, Chairman
