Principle Themes to Explore

1. Nature, science and our conscience can lead us to recognise the existence of a divine architect, but salvation in Jesus is only revealed in God’s Word.

2. What the Bible says about itself is a great lesson. But what Jesus taught about it is even more instructive.

3. The Bible is the Word of God that reveals Jesus. It is powerful and effective in transforming our lives, and through us, also the lives of others.

Suggestions for Teaching

Develop the gift of teaching the Holy Scriptures, both as a whole and also particularly for understanding the character of Jesus. The Bible has the primary place in proclaiming the Gospel.

Possible questions for sharing and discussion

1. What have you learned from the lesson this week that is new and important about the role of the Bible?

2. Read Psalm 119:105; Jer. 29:23; Luke 8:11; Matt. 4:4. Discuss the five symbols in these texts and share what you have learned.

3. How has Scripture developed your knowledge and experience with Jesus? How does it convince you to testify of Him?

4. What lessons have you learned that are relevant for your personal witness?
