2 nd Day – Pizza Cooking Class: Learn how to make the original pizza in Naples!

The original Pizza was created in Naples : in particular the Margherita pizza was named after Queen Margherita Teresa Giovanni after her visit to the city in 1889 and you can see the Italian Flag in the Colours, basil for the green, cheese represents the white and red the tomato sauce.You will experience and learn with us how to make real Neapolitan Pizza right in the heart of Naples’ old Pizzeria. Imagine, as well as feel the twenty centuries of history that this Pizzeria must have seen and been a part of. This legendary venue is located in the middle of Naples’ historical center, a Unesco Heritage Site, and is run by local master chefs. You will learn from one of the world’s best pizza Chefs.

We start with visiting a local market to choose the right ingredients to use for our pizza. We will meet the farmers that sell their products every day and every morning at the market.We will also learn about the different varieties and qualities of products they offer. After buying all our ingredients, we will head over to our ovens and make our pizzas with a top-rated chef.

Once you finish making a real Neapolitan Pizza, you will not only eat your pizza but also have opportunities to try, as well as sample other Neapolitan specialties. Naples is also home to amazing coffee and delicious pastries. When the cooking class is finished, you will take a beautiful stroll with our guide through the city center. We will treat you to a variety of famous Neapolitan pastries (e.g.: babà, sfogliatella, pastiera, etc.) at one of Naples’ most historical pastry shops.

You will also get coffee from another historical bar. By the end of the 3.5 hours experience, you will be amazed, delighted, and happy that you learned how to make a Neapolitan pizza in a historical pizzeria. Not only that, but you will be able to take away with you secrets of how to make a delicious pizza in your electric oven at home, as well as some of the best deep fried appetizers you could only imagine.

We will stop in the square of the old “Schiazzano” hamlet, in a typical restaurant located in an old XVIII century palace. Here you will learn the secrets to make the best Pizza ever, doing a pizza maker and cooking Pizza with all the ingredients: water flavours.. ”heart” and then you will also eat homemade cakes made by Lucio's wife ( the pizza maker) and drink local wine.Another stop will be in Sorrento at a charming “ Salumeria” ( deli/restaurant) full of local aromas and flavours and great delicacies like “parmigiana di melanzane” (eggplants), prosciutto and many kinds of typical cheeses where you will see how to make a good Mozzarella, also at home. 4 th Day – Ruins of Pompeii

From “Costiera Amalfitana” we will visit The Ruins Of Pompeii.Pompeii, an ancient Roman city an UNESCO World Heritage Site, since 1997. The town was once a sprawling metropolis of shops, luxury residences, restaurants, bathhouses, and brothels.

The archaeological excavations of Pompeii represent extraordinary evidence of the history of Ancient Rome. These excavations with their incredible state of preservation are able to tell its visitors a tragic but absolutely fascinating story. Here, time stopped in 79 A.D., when as a result of the powerful eruption of the volcano Vesuvius, ashes and lava covered the streets, buildings and inhabitants of this city, erasing it forever.You will walk its streets, following in the footsteps of its residents, some of whom are immortalized in startling plaster casts at the precise moment of their death.Here you can admire the forum, once the center of political and social life in the city. Visit the buildings and houses to admire the decorations, mosaics, paintings and everyday objects."Pompeiian red" a classical red color take is original name from the color of red frescoes from Pompeii an d in particular form those found in the so-called "Villa of the Mysteries", in which an enigmatic set of figures perform arcane rituals on a scarlet background. Ate the end of the day will move to the Farm “Quaglia” where we wil spend the night in a top value rooms.

The Farm "Quaglia" is our base camp and residence where our host will be hosted.From the small and typical village of "Roccadaspide" you can visit the old greek ruins of "Paestum" and explore the real "Cilento" region experienses full of history and amazing landscape , rivers , seaside and caves.The farm has its small productions of extra virgin olive oil production and wine; in addition to these, guests can also taste cheese, salami, olive oil and pickles.

5 th Day – Historycal Experience in Paestum

We will move from Farmhous and in half an hour we will reach “Paestum”.Paestum is one of the best preserved sites of the entire “Magna Grecia” ( “The Great Greece” as was named South Italy during ancient Greek domination) , this important archaeological site, included in the list of World Heritage Sites, it is worth seeing for its numerous monuments and temples. Of exceptional value is the National Archaeological Museum with masterpieces discovered in numerous excavations: 33 metopes of the chapel, the frescoes in the Tomb of the Diver, the statue of Zeus.Paestum is located in the northern part of the Cilento area, a territory that is a perfect synthesis of nature, art, history, typical and unique flavours in the Mediterranean.

A guided tour in Paestum includes the monuments within the fence of the excavations, the Museum, which houses the famous Tomb of the Diver and around the walls.The entrances to the excavations are three: the main one is along the old road, in front of the Temple of Neptune, the second from the ancient Gate of Justice in the southern side of the walls and the third is near the Museum; If you then add the tours to the Tower of Paestum and the Temple of Hera,the visit takes approx a whole day.
