A) Technical feature of a digital desk top product

This is a vote campaign for Barrack Obama, this poster was used in many places to get people to vote for Obama for him to be elected for presidency. It turned out to be very successfully, as we can see the drawing of Obama was done with a pencil which requires talent, also the only colours used are the colours which are on the American flag, which shows his loyalty towards his country. The word vote in this poster is by far the largest part of the image which tells us that the word “vote” is the sole purpose of the poster. The Drawing of Barack Obama shows him looking up with his head up and a big smile on his face, this tells me that he is a promising person, he can already see all the good he can do to the country, shows the positivity in hi,=m and how good his soul is.

This is a very moving poster, it’s promoting for people to help with war through propaganda, this poster is really telling us British people that we need to join the army so we can do our country proud. I find it very persuasive because right in the middle is an army member pointing directly to you so it’s as if the poster is specifically made for you, the word “BRITONS” stands out the most because it’s in bold red and it’s the biggest sized writing on the whole poster. Underneath the army member it says “wants you” but the “you” is way bigger than the “wants” which once again emphasises that it’s you that they want to join and help the army with war. I think they did well with creating this poster because a lot of people these days are scared to join the army because there’s a high chance that you will die during war, but this poster completely moves away from that subject and just gets you to think about you helping your country and making Britain’s people proud.

B) Web based products

Here is a very important and powerful poster, they have used a sans serif type face to get the message straight across. By the picture on the poster we can see it’s a high possibility that she is being raped by the unknown taxi driver, the message the cab company are trying to get across is that you shouldn’t take cab unless it’s been booked and you are expecting one, “STOP, NO. PLEASE NO, STOP, PLEASE STOP TAKING UNBOOKED MINICABS” what they have done here is very smart, they have included what would be said while trying to be harassed, at the same time they are telling you what you should not be doing, they’ve put across a very powerful image and a very powerful message.

Motion based

Here slow motion has been used to create tension while the shot is going in and once it goes into the hoop an echo of the swoosh and it goes in is played to once again add effect.

Here in these two scenes, soft music has been added and the non-diegetic noises are all being raised to add that extra tension, also the rhythm of and pace of the advert changes throughout, so for example while the basketball is being chased it’s in slow motion ad once it gets picked up the music speeds up and so does the advert.
