SALE COMPLETE

We are very pleased to announce that the sale of Haven Road has been completed.

SARTORI STORES

E-Commerce

The E-Commerce Team have been creating some great bidding wars on eBay recently. A Vase was donated to Snowdrop Lane which Volunteer Sam spotted and did some research on it; to find it was a Limited Edition, Philip Gibson Moorcroft Vase. This started £499.99 and sold for a staggering £700.00. Well done Sam!

Also Vanda, a Volunteer in our Bridge Street store spotted something interesting in the donations. She put it to one side for Arianne to do some research. It turned out to be a Vintage Curta Type 2 mechanical calculator in very good condition and in the original case, this sold for £1005.00. Good work Vanda and Arianne.

During the month of March the E-Commerce department alone have generated over £8,000 income for the Foundation, sending items to countries as far as China and South Korea.

It is lovely to see the Retail team getting involved and helping to promote KAPOW! The window displays look amazing. Well done everyone, thank you for all your hard work and great suggestions.

TESCO BAGS OF HELP

Paul Sartori Hospice at Home is still asking for your vote for a massive cash boost from the Tesco Bags of Help initiative.  Tesco teamed up with Groundwork to launch its community funding scheme, which sees grants of £4,000, £2,000 and £1,000 raised from carrier bag sales in Tesco stores awarded to local community projects.

Three groups in every Tesco region have been shortlisted to receive the cash award and shoppers are being invited to head along to Tesco stores to vote for who they think should take away the top grant.  Paul Sartori is one of the groups on the shortlist for Haverfordwest, Milford Haven and Goodwick stores. Their projects include High Quality, person-centred end of life care and Children’s anticipatory grief and bereavement counselling resource pack.

SAUNDERSFOOT STROLLERS

A friendly walking group from Saundersfoot have recently held a competition to raise vital funds for Paul Sartori Hospice at Home. Sue Townsend from the Saundersfoot Strollers had a fantastic quiz put together by her sister Jan. Participants purchased the quiz; and they were able to take it home and complete in their own time. They raised an amazing total of £90.00 for the Pembrokeshire Charity. Members of the Saundersfoot Strollers chose to support Paul Sartori as some of them have experienced the services previously; and know the great impact they have on the end of life care in Pembrokeshire. The Strollers are also big supporters of the Saundersfoot New Year’s Day swim; which Paul Sartori are heavily involved in each year. “I think that this was a brilliant way to raise money for Paul Sartori whilst having a bit of fun. I personally would like to thank all of the Saundersfoot Strollers for raising £90.00; which will go towards a range of services for Pembrokeshire people living in the final stages of a life-limiting illness” said Phil Thompson MBE, Chair of Paul Sartori. The Saundersfoot Strollers meet every Tuesday and always welcome new members. Please contact Lyn on [email protected] if you would like to join them. You can also check out the Paul Sartori website for their events throughout the year: www.paulsartori.org

CRUFTS 2019

We would like to say a huge well done to Fiona Ramsden, Manager of Tenby and Narberth Sartori Stores. Fiona recently took part in Crufts 2019, the biggest annual event on the dog showing calendar. She showed an Alaskan Malamute in the Post Graduate Dog class and came away with 3rd in a strong class.

GIFT AID - STORE OF THE MONTH

Another good performance on Gift Aid, £10,553 for the month of March, compared to £8,391 last year. Neyland once again topped the charts, with an incredible 40% of sales being Gift Aided, second place was Narberth with Bridge Street in third on 21%.

The end of year rankings were as follows, in first place was Neyland on 28%, Narberth second with 23% and in third place with an outstanding turn around on last year was Pembroke Dock on 19%.

Did you know we claim Gift Aid from HMRC quarterly? For the last quarter over 900 letters were sent out from Paul Sartori House to donators who had Gift Aided.

In the financial year, 2018-19;  Gift Aided sales were approximately £114,000; this equates to an extra £28,000 for the Foundation, that’s equivalent to an extra 1120 hours of care.

This is why we ask you to ask the Gift Aid question.
