Andrew Byrom
Andrew Byrom is a British typographer and graphic designer who experiments with 3D objects to explore typography.
This is a piece of typography Andrew Byrom created that involves the word “play” being created steel grab bars. The photo came from a
magazine article. In this magazine article it is stated that “Byrom sees type in everything, everywhere” this statement is very obvious
throughout most of Byrom’s work including this piece.
This example of Byrom’s work came from the same article as the last example and it is shown in the photo that Byrom created this
typeface using neon tubing to create a light that spells the word “home”. This could have various different meanings for example it
could symbolise what home can bring and what it means to people.
This example of Byrom’s work includes a typeface that seems to have been created from tables. The tables create a word and it seems that the typeface that has been made is in a school or park of some kind.
This makes the typeface stand out more at this typeface could symbolise school or further education when displaying the typeface in a school area or environment. This is a great example of Byrons
work.
