Creative task

Mud painting!

All you need to do for this is mix mud with water. Just like with watercolour paints, the more water you add, the paler the colour will be. Different types of soil will also give you different shades of brown, so there’s a lot to experiment with.

You can use a paintbrush to paint with, but if you don’t have one you could try a toothbrush or a cotton bud.

When your picture is dry, you can add to it with felt pen, or add another layer of mud paint to create a different effect.
