Introduction Today children will be using their knowledge of materials to think about what the best material would be to make the following items : boat, wellington boot and bridge. Key questions Will this material float? Is it strong? Is it flexible? Is it waterproof? Task Children will be thinking about different materials and their properties. They will then decide which of those materials would make a good boat, boot and bridge and why. They need to explain the properties of the materials and the reasons why they chose them.
