After the initial prayers were offered by the school children of Reliveedhi, the National Anthem was sung while the flag was being hoisted by the table chairman Rajiv Agarwal who was also the chief guest for the occasion. It was truly a proud moment for all present at the function and was applauded and appreciated by all. INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATIONS 2014-2015 WRT-92

The WRT-92 family celebrated India’s 68th Independence Day with great zeal and enthusiasm. The activity was planned by the table’s community service convener for the year, Tr. Vikranth Hanumantu based on the guidelines mailed by Round Table India on Independence Day celebrations. A special thanks to Tr. Pawan Kumar, Tr. Rajiv Agarwal, Tr. Kaushik Vaishnav, Tr. Venkat, Tr.Nanda Kishore, Tr. Srijan and Tr. Pruthvi for their valuable contributions for the event.

We planned our Independence Day celebrations on the 15th of August at Reliveedhi School, an RTI school of WRT-92. The tablers gathered in full strength along with the ladies and the twinklers to participate in the event.

Following the flag hoisting, the prize distribution ceremony commenced where the names of the meritorious students were announced and individual prizes were given out to the students. The categories included not only the academic excellence awards but also awards for the school children excelling in sports and other co-curricular activities. The tablers, ladies and twinklers took great interest in the prize distribution and congratulated the excelling students by personally handing over the prizes and further encouraging with a few words of appreciation.

After the prize distribution ceremony concluded, the tablers handed over lunch bowls (which was stated as an immediate requirement by the principal of the school) for all the 300 students. The principal of the school then gave his vote of thanks and honored our chairman, Tr. Rajiv Agarwal with a shawl.

Then the tasty end of the ceremony commenced where all tablers, ladies and twinklers took great pleasure in distributing the snacks and refreshments to all students with some tablers really sweating out to ensure the timely and uniform distribution to all school children. All preparations were flawlessly arranged and the snacks were all ready to be plated and handed over to the children. The invitees as well as the teachers and the staff of the school equally relished the refreshments that were being served.

Overall, it was a great moment in tabling where WRT92 played its part in making the children aware of the sanctity of the occasion while organizing and presenting it in an entertaining and memorable manner.
