What does a sales role with FedEx Express look like in reality?Every day will be different, but a typical day might include:

AppointmentsPlanned face to face appointments each day. These will cover a variety of topics including identifying new business opportunities, developing existing accounts, creating and implementing solutions as well as resolving service issues and submitting value propositions.

Prospect callsMaking prospect calls to help develop your new business portfolio and help achieve your targets.

Phone queries Answering customer queries by phone develops your own knowledge. You will be expected to resolve what you can or delegate appropriately.

Follow upsFollowing up your meetings could take place in the office or from home. You will be researching queries, reporting and responding to e-mails.

Administration and planningPlus of course, administration work and scheduling appointments for the coming days and weeks.

Show me the money!What does the package look like?At FedEx we carefully balance your need for a stable income and provide you with the opportunity to increase your earnings through target related incentive bonuses.

Your initial basic salary will be very competitive, based upon your experience and discussions with you during the assessment process. Additionally, you could expect to earn up to a further 34% in commission, which is paid on a quarterly basis.

In addition to the security and support you would expect from a globally renowned organisation, specific benefits include: company car, 25 days holiday (rising to 28 days after 5 years’ service), private medical, a contributory pension scheme, life assurance, personal accident insurance, a tuition refund scheme plus great discounts on shipping and travel.
