MISSIONARY PRAYER FOCUS

This week’s prayer focus is on Global Partners missionaries’ living among the Karis people. The Karis people field is part of the Turkic-Arabic area of Global Partners. Since security is an issue, we are highlighting the work on the field and our missionaries as a team instead of individually.

The Nune team (six units) consists of nine adults and eight kids. Our mission is to earnestly advocate the kingdom of

God in our city and see a house church born in every neighborhood. Today, we can count the number of Nune believers on two hands and two feet—this in a city of a quarter million

souls. But as we serve as Jesus’ hands and feet, we’re believing that seeds planted will bring forth fruit 100 times. In this Muslim majority region that means sharing stories from God’s Word and spiritual “fishing” for open hearts. That can’t be accomplished without a healthy dose of extraordinary prayer as we live Jesus in both word and action through our businesses . . . and isn’t that what the

life of a believer is all about? It’s a privilege (and challenge!) to remove the “spiritual schizophrenia” from our compartmentalized lives and let the gospel exude from every pore. We’re stoked to be Christ’s torchbearers in this pivotal part of Asia. We look forward to seeing how our love for Jesus pushes back the kingdom of darkness in the Muslim world. It’s a tall order—please pray with us!

Prayer Points from the Nune People Missionary Team:

Pray that Nune eyes would be opened to the truth of Jesus.

Pray that God would grant favor for our Nune team with local authorities.

Pray for God to send more workers for the harvest. Pray that our Nune team would have boldness in

sharing the good news. Pray for protection for our Nune team as they live, work,

and minister in a spiritual dark place. Pray for God’s blessing on the businesses where our

team members work.
