Pre-learning vocabulary allows pupils to learn the meaning of words and use visual images to help them recall them. You can change the visual images to ones that work better for your pupils.

Represent To put forward someone else’s views.
Vote A choice made by a particular person or group in a meeting or an election.
Constituent Someone who votes for an MP.
MP A member of Parliament who is elected to help make decisions about how to run the country.
Election When people vote to choose MPs, school councillors or other people who help make decisions and represent us.
Constituency Where the people who vote for an MP live.
Democracy Where all adults get to vote for people to represent them in government.
