It was a huge ccess and raised over £3000! As well as raising very valuable funds for the school, the Fayre was also extremely enjoyable way of bringing together the whole school community, both past and present. Thank u to all those who came along to support the Fayre. Special thanks go to the PTA, who spent many nths in planning this and in ensuring that it was such a success. REMINDER OF FORTHCOMING HOLIDAYS School will be closed to all pupils (Nursery-P7) on the following days this term: Monday 6 May- May Day Holiday Tuesday 7 May- In-service Day Monday 20 May- Victoria Day Holiday In addition to the above, school will also be closed to all pupils in P1-P7 (not Nursery) on the following day: Thursday 23 May- European Parliament Elections Holy Cross is one of many City of Edinburgh Council primary schools which will be used as a polling station, and will therefore be closed to P1-P7 pupils. HOMEWORK Homework will be issued to all classes on Wednesday 8 May, and should be completed over the following period: Wednesday 8 May 2019- Friday 14 June 2019 This is slightly later than usual, due to the late return after the Easter holidays and the school closures on 6 and 7 May. PTA SPRING FAYREThe annual Spring Fayre took place in school on Saturday 27 April. It was a huge success and

SHARING EVENT FOR PARENTS/CARERSOur next Sharing Event for parents will take place on Wednesday 15 May between 0900-0945. At this, children in all classes will share what they have learned about Non-discrimination on grounds of nationality, gender, religion and all of the other protected characteristics. Afterwards, from 0930-0950, an Assessor from UNICEF would like to meet a group of parents to discuss the school’s work on the Rights Respecting School Award. If you would like to take part in this group. Pease contact Mrs Burnett via the school office. Thanks!

ASCENSION DAY MASSThursday 30 May is the Feast of the Ascension and therefore a Holyday of Obligation. Mass will be celebrated in the school hall at 11 am. Please note the later time. All children from P1-P7 will attend and all parents/carers are also welcome to join us.
