The 22nd Annual convocation day was truly a momentous occasion on an unprecedented scale for K.V.G dental college & Hospital, Sullia. The 22nd

graduation day and college day celebrations was held on Saturday, 23rd sept 2017.The venue was its very own Kurunji Janaki Venkatramana Gowda Sabha Bhavan, Amarashree Bhag,sullia.

The Chief Guest For The Day Was Dr.T.Sham Bhat, IAS, Chairman Public Service commission, Bangalore and The Guest Of Honour Dr.U S Krishna Nayak, Dean, A.B Shetty Memorial Institute Of Dental Sciences, Mangalore. Also in attendance with the honourable dignitaries Dr.K V Chidananda,President AOLE,SULLIA presided the function, Dr.Renuka Prasad-General Secretary AOLE, Dr.Jyothi Renuka Prasad-Director AOLE, Pattambail Venkatramana Gowda-former Principal KVG Law College, Dr.Moksha Nayak-Principal ,KVG Dental College, Sullia and all the head of the departments.

The convocation day began with a majestic and grand academic procession followed by welcome dance and prayer song, which was notably impressed by the splendid of our ceremonial traditions. The formal function began with a welcome speech by Dr.Moksha

Nayak. The Annual college report touched upon the infrastructure developments in the college and the academic achievements of KVG Dental College in the year 2016-17.

The year 2017,KVG Dental College witnessed the graduation of 87 undergraduates and 9 post graduates,which was indeed a prestigious moment.

An emphasising speech was given by Dr .Sham Bhat which was an inspiration for all the graduates. Dr. U S Krishna Nayak through his speech encouraged and wished the students to reach higher goals. Representatives from the Under Graduates and Post Graduates shared their college life experience. The convocation day ended with a vote of thanks by Dr .Prasanna Kumar, Organising Committee Chairman, which was followed by the National Anthem.

The college day celebrations was kick started by welcome dance followed by variety of dance performances and the event of the day the Indo-western fashion show conducted by the under graduates and the Post Graduates. The prestigious function was witnessed by 1500 people. Guests were treated to an evening of excellent food.

The IDA symposium held on 16th October 2017 was organised by Manipal college of Dental sciences and CADE(Centre for advanced Dental Education). The program started at 9 am which included competitions like collage, Grays Anatomy, Quiz, Short film and spellathian, were the students of KVG Dental College actively participated and bagged first prize in Grays anatomy by Ridhi S Kumar and Srajana from II BDS and also III prize in Short film competition by the III BDS.The program came to an end by 5 pm with the prize distribution and speech by Dr.Manoj Verma-President ,IDA D.K branch .
