‘SHATAYU’ Generation to Generation Knowledge

Sharing Competition

Dear Participants,

Become a part of conserving traditional knowledge and in the revival of traditional culture, which is retained by centenarian. There are few people who live as long as a hundred years. Having seen a lot of changes in climate, socioeconomic conditions, biodiversity, markets, style of governance, and cultural norms of society, there is a lot that we can learn from them.

SRISTI is a Not for Profit Organisation and in order to conserve the traditional heritage is inviting submissions of the detailed profile of the centenarians across the country. This competition is to encourage profiling of the lives of those individuals who are ‘banks’ holding treasures of practical experience of over hundred years and invaluable traditional knowledge.

Honey Bee Network is a crucible of like-minded individuals, innovators, farmers, scholars, academicians, policy makers, entrepreneurs and non-governmental organizations (NGOs). A Network having presence in more than seventy five countries is dedicated to the cause of preserving traditional knowledge and the innovations of the grassroots.

SRISTI (Society for Research and Initiatives for Sustainable Technologies and Institutions) is a Not for Profit Organisation which supports the activities of the Honey Bee Network to recognize, respect and reward creativity at the grassroots.

If you are enthusiastic towards the above cause then your chance to contribute back to the society is here.

We want free and holistic dissemination of the traditional knowledge, experiences and culture throughout the country, so that the contemporary generation benefits and builds upon the existing treasure.

This competition will focus on the quality of the submissions of the detailed profile of the centenarians and will be judged by a panel of experts on the basis of the points system. Each participant will be given a questionnaire on the basis of which a detailed profile is to be made. The panel will allot points on the merit of individual entries (qualitative and quantitative) and accordingly the best entries will be shortlisted.
