Goals for Instagram

•  To promote our library materials and services

•  Celebrate libraries in general

•  To convey a love of reading and books.

•  Stay current and relevant by posting about current issues, trends and pop culture.


Management

We have a Social Media Committee, so someone is in charge of each of these things.

1. Bookface (if you have ideas, talk to them)

Bookface

Primarily the bookface posts are taken by myself and one other Reference Librarian.


DVD’s/TV Shows

One person in our Circulation Department is assigned to post these types of pictures.


YS Events

All Children /Teen events are handled by two members of the committee that work in our Youth Services Department.


Book Covers & End Pages

Someone in our Technical Services Department does these when she adds the barcode and enters the book into our system.


Events (other areas: Sci-fi, LGBT, Science)

These types of pictures are taken by our Director of PR and Special Events and one of our part time employees.
