Step 5: ProjectThis is the last step to complete before you are done. For this step you will choose one of three options. (1) You can create a children’s story about the steps of the water cycle and what happens during each step. (2) Draw a detailed diagram of the water cycle and somewhere on it or with it you will put the steps of the water cycle and the information you gathered about each step. (3) The last option I am giving you is more complex so you can do it in a group of 2-3 if you choose it. You will create and model the water cycle. This model can be made however you want it, but you must write down what you will say to explain each step when you demonstrate it to a student. Once you have choosen which you are going to do let me know and then begin. Remember to use your notes and cite the sources you got the information from. Have fun with this project and remember to be creative!!

Thank you to Water-Whisper blog spot. This site contained information about the water cycle and the child’s diagram that is on the task page. Link to image/site: http://water-whispers.blogspot.com/2009/11/water-cycle.html

Thank you to Physics World for picture that I used during the process list. The picture is of precipitation (http://physicsworld.com/cws/article/news/2012/feb/24/rain-drains-energy-from-the-atmosphere)

Thank you to Northern Michigan University. They provide great information for young children on the water cycle and cover it step by step. This website was a huge help and part of my webquest. http://ellerbruch.nmu.edu/classes/cs255w03/cs255students/mteasley/p4/watercycle.html I would also like to thank Kid Zone for their information on the water cycle that I would have my students use. It is helpful in their explanation and showing an everyday example to kids. I also used pictures from this site to go with the steps and would like to thank them for their images as well as information. http://www.kidzone.ws/water/

My last major thank you goes to the United States Environmental Protection Agency. They have a very helpful activity page that explains this to children while they can be active on their site with other activities. http://www.epa.gov/ogwdw/kids/flash/flash_watercycle.html

Treehugger.com had pictures that I used in the assignment to illustrate a topic in the water cycle so I would like to thank them for their great pictures that I used. http://www.treehugger.com/clean-technology/mapping-water-vapor-for-more-accurate-weather-predictions.html
