Atmosphere purifying paintOne top coat on walls absorbs and neutralises pol-lutants permanentlyThe special silicate ingredients in Ecos Atmosphere PurifyingPaint absorbs and neutralises these pollutants permanently. Theefficacy of the paint is not exhausted within the average redecorat-ing schedules of approximately 5 years. It absorbs 98 - 99% ofvolatile pollutants down to approximately one part per million (gaschromatographic data). It does not clean the air of airborne parti-cles such as dust, pollen, animal dander and moulds. For basecoats use Ecos Matt Emulsion and cover with a top coat of thepurifying paint. It is available in matt only in all colours. Coverageis approximately 60 sq m per 5 litres.

MDF passivating primerJust one coat absorbsand neutralisesformaldehyde andVOCs in MDF and plywoodFor MDF and plywood, thispaint contains a special sili-cate which neutralisesformaldehyde and otherVOCs. It is made to adhereto wood surfaces andneeds only one application. Apply to bare MDF or plywood. Theprimer absorbs formaldehyde vapours and other VOCs from MDFand plywood down to approximately one part per million. Makesure that all bare surfaces are covered. Coverage is approximate-ly 13 sq m per litre. Slight discolouration of this white paint mayoccur with some grades of MDF but this does not affect its per-formance. The Primer can be covered with a top coat of Ecosgloss, satin gloss or Feng shui.

MDF passivating primerI am very sensitive to smells of all sorts so I was very appre-hensive of having the new work surface installed in our kitchenas it is made of chipboard. We used the MDF passivatingprimer on the underside of all the work surfaces and we nowget no smell from it at all. We find this a very useful product.

Feng shui harmonising finishEcos Feng Shui is a multi-surface coating for walls and wood-work, giving a washable, smooth shell-like surface which suffuseslight gently, further enhancing the effect. It gives a low sheen,washable finish and is for interior use on walls, ceilings and wood-work, including doors, skirting boards, window frames, kitchenunits, bathrooms etc. but is not ideal for floors, tiles, work surfacesor for use on lining paper. Optimum hardness achieved after 10days. Best results are usually achieved with two coats thoughthree may be necessary on very dark colours. Coverage isapproximately 65 sq m per 5 litres.

Radiator paintThis radiator paint is quick drying, non-yellowing and non-tackywhen dry. It has minimal odour during application and is odourfree in two hours. Gives off no fumes in use and is formaldehydefree. Use on all previously painted radiators. Not suitable for barecopper pipes. Best results with 1 - 2 coats. 1 litre covers approxi-mately 10 sq m. Anti-formaldehyde radiator paintConventional central heating radiators can offgas large amountsof formaldehyde and can easily be the largest source of formalde-hyde in the home. (Formaldehyde is a carcinogen and can causebirth defects.) This paint absorbs approximately 98-99% offormaldehyde down to 1ppm before it can offgas into your homeor office environment. Available in matt white, this base coat isbest finished with Ecos Feng Shui if a coloured coat is required.For bare metal, prime with Ecos undercoat. Why use titanium dioxide instead of natural alterna-tives?It is safe - safe enough to eat. Ecostrip The safer, more environmentally conscious stripperThis industrial strength paint and varnish stripper can be used onwood, metal and masonry. Woodworm treatmentThis is a natural based system for eliminat-ing existing woodworm or rot infestation inany situation where the wood is notexposed to constant moisture and for ensur-ing effective future protection. It petrifies thetimber making it inedible to boring insectsand difficult for fungi to settle on its hardsurface. It has been officially tested by the Institute of Building inSwitzerland. 0.75 litre of Holzweg Timber Treatment fluid treatsapproximately 7.5 sq metres.
