World Environment Day World Environment Day Festival will be held at the University of the Sunshine Coast on Sunday 9th June, 2013. It is the largest celebration of its kind of South East Queensland, attracting over 7,500 people each year. This year is planned to be the biggest yet with an estimated crowd of 10,000 families, business' and students from across the region. The dual objective of the festival is to celebrate the environment and to educate the local community. What we want from you? As staff of the University of the Sunshine Coast we are seeking your support and participation at World Environment Day Festival. It is the aim to unite all faculties, services and departments in order to create a single USC experience at the festival. We are seeking the presence of but not limited to: × Faculty of Arts and Business × Faculty of Science, Health, Education and Engineering × Office of Engagement × Marketing and Communications × Student Services × Facilities × Office of Research × Sustainability Research Centre What's planned in 2013? Following on from previously years, innovative ideas have been brought forward to ensure 2013 will be the most successful festival to date. As well as bringing back popular stalls and activities, some new additions will be added. Key features include: × Nomadic Dome: this will be the location for the speaker program × 5060 community group stalls × Proposed rainforest simulation × Solar car display × Sustainable material fashion show × An abundance of local food displays and stalls × Wildlife shows × Interactive child friendly activities and games How to get involved ?
