VENUECOSTS

SAFFRON VENUE
This is for the setting up of the receptiontables, ceremony area, cleaning of the venueand packing away of decor until collection.
This does not include any decorsetup/breakdown on the day. All decor itemsmust be collected no later than 2 days afteryour event. We cannot be held responsible
for any decor that is left at the venue.
The venue-hire for Saffron Function venue whichincludes the extension and courtyard area forboth the ceremony and reception is R35 000
THE RESTAURANTThe venue-hire for Cassia Restaurant is R55 000
WINTER PROMOTION
This promotion is NOT applicable for the Cassia restaurant area.
We will charge the full venue fee for the main restaurant during the winter months.There will be an additional venue charge of R2500.00 for an extra hour
for the venue being made available to the guests, to 01H00.
We are only permitted to sell alcohol to 01H00 and thevenue must be vacated by 01H30 if this option is taken
Set up fee and breaking down fee will be charged of R1000-00 (this is for the setting up of the tables and ceremony area
& the cleaning of the venue and packing away of décor until collection) – this does not include any décor setup/breakdown on the day.
IN WINTER WE CHARGE A 50% REDUCED VENUE FEE OF R17 500 DURING THE MONTHS OF
MAY – END SEPTEMBER IN THE SAFFRON FUNCTION VENUE
THE CEREMONY
With the beautiful water backdrop, one can choose between having the ceremony outdoors in the courtyardwith spectacular views overlooking the Cassia dam or within the Saffron venue for a more intimate service.
In case of bad weather the ceremony can be moved into the original Saffron venue, which is fully airconditioned. You are welcome to contact us on the morning of the wedding and we will set up in the
appropriate venue for the ceremony to avoid bad weather.

a variety of mouth-watering canapés which ourdedicated and well-presented service team will
serve to your guests in the waiting period.
PRE-DRINKS & CANAPES
Our menus can be tailor made to suit all of yourrequirements and tastes. We are fully capable of tailor-making a signature drink to offer your guests after the
ceremony. Pre-drinks have become a trendy necessity to yourwedding. Whether you would like refreshing pink lemonadeor a glass of our famous bubbly our trained barmen and
service staff are ready to rejuvenate your taste buds.

We are here to assist you with the planning and coordinationof your special day. We are now able to assist you with apreferred suppliers list. These are suppliers that know ourvenue and have worked with us on numerous occasions to
create spectacular weddings and décor.
Our Professional and friendly staff are on hand to organizethe big day and to ensure that each couple experiences theperfect wedding from start to finish. Our wedding team will
gather information and characteristics that makes you uniqueas an individual, but also as a couple.
We go through a process of dreaming, cutting and pastingto create an exciting and personalized environment for you
and your guests. Together with you and your ‘’to be” weembark on the most amazing journey while planning your
special day with the close partnership ofindustry specialists to bring your dream to a reality.

WE OFFER A VARIETY OF DIFFERENTMENU OPTIONS TO SELECT FROM.• from R295-00 per person and range up toR475-00 per person.• (Menu will be reduced by R20-00 per personshould your Wedding Cake be served instead ofdessert)• Canapé Menu starting from R90-00 perperson.• We are flexible on the menu selections & wecan tailor make a menu that suits you and yourtastes• Menu tastings can be arranged with 5 workingdays notices and are only offered Monday's toFriday’s lunch or dinner.•Tastings will be charged for according to thepricing of the menu selected.
BEVERAGES
We are fully licensed and can offer a full barservice or make available a limited service, cash
bar or bar tab.
We also have a wide range of wines to selectfrom. You are more than welcome to bring yourown wines & champagnes and pay a corkage
fee of R50-00 per 750ml bottle opened. We donot allow any other alcoholic beverages on to
the premises.
Please note: corkage will be charged on anyNitida wine bought directly from the cellar andbrought in to be used at your wedding as we
are separate businesses.
PAYMENTterms & conditions
• 25% deposit of the venue hire is required when signing the contract to secure the booking.• Provisional bookings will only be held for 7 days• We allocate 3 meetings to each bridal couple to assist and guide you with the planning ofyour special day.• All final confirmed numbers and planning to be arranged 10 working days prior to thewedding day, and full payment to be settled in full, 7 days prior to the Wedding.• Any additional items arranged on the day will be charged on consumption to a masteraccount which must be settled at the end of your event or function.
TERMS &CONDITIONS
ALL BOOKINGS UNDER THIS AGREEMENT SHALL BE SUBJECT TOTHE FOLLOWING TERMS AND CONDITIONS:1. All invoices shall be due upon presentation. Any amounts payable by the customer to Cassia Restaurantand Venue in terms of this agreement and not paid on due date, shall accrue interest at 2% (two percent)above the prime bank overdraft rate as advised by the Cassia Restaurant Bankers.2. Should the function be cancelled: a. All deposits will be non-refundable3. 31 days and later prior to function date, 50% of the anticipated revenue will be charged;4. Within 30 days prior to function date, 100% of the anticipated revenue will be charged;5. The anticipated number of guests is required thirty days prior to the function6. Final numbers and final payments are required by Cassia Restaurant and Venue seven (7 days) workdays in advance and must be within no less than 20% of the initial contact. Cassia Restaurant and venuewill charge on this final figure should there be a shortfall in numbers. The final numbers confirmed will be the final numbers catered for on the day.7. Deposit requirements will be made at the discretion of the Cassia Restaurant and venue. Should theCustomer fail to pay such deposit by the date indicated on this agreement, Cassia Restaurant and venueshall deem the booking cancelled.
TERMS &CONDITIONS
8. Cassia Restaurant and venue nor its agents or employees shall be liable for any damages or loss which may becaused to any of the goods of the Customer, its employees or invitees brought neither into the premises, nor to any injuryor loss of life to the Customer or its employees or invitees howsoever caused. The Customer further indemnifies and holdsharmless Cassia Restaurant and venue against any claim that may be made against Cassia Restaurant and venue byany third party relating to the provisions of the clause.9. The Customer shall be made responsible for any damage caused to the allocated rooms, furnishing, utensils andequipment therein, by any act or omission of the Customer or guests/employee of the Customer.10. All day and evening functions must terminate by 16h00 and 00h00 respectively unless a later time is specificallyagreed in writing 7 days prior with Cassia Restaurant a venue charge of R2, 500.00 for every hour exceeded will belevied. No alcohol will be served after 01h00 as per the Liquor Act.11. The Customer agrees to pay on an attorney and own client scale, all legal fees incurred by Cassia in respect of anyclaim or proceeding arising out of or being in connection with this agreement, as well as all collection commission andtracing costs (if any).12. All menu tasting will be charged for as per menu price selected.13. Conferences are held between 08h00 and 17h00. Please confirm availability if extra time is needed.14. Additional tables, chairs, cutlery crockery & glassware over 120 pax will have to be rented in at the clients expenseshould your function require them.15. Cassia Restaurant & Tables at Nitida are a separate entity to Nitida Cellars and each operate individually.
