WEDDING REHEARSALThe ranch extends a complimentary 60-minute

wedding rehearsal with your contracted wedding at

Black Butte Ranch. Rehearsal times are not guaran-

teed at the time of the booking and must be coordi-

nated with other events taking place at the ranch. If

your specific ceremony location is not available on

your requested day and time, we will make arrange-

ments for your rehearsal to take place in an alter-

nate location or at an alternate time of that day. It is

highly recommended that your professional wedding

planner be responsible for overseeing and conduct-

ing the wedding rehearsal.

two championship courses. Treat your guests to indi-

vidual tee times, or work with our Group Golf Coordi-

beautiful courses offers magnificent scenery and an

unparalleled golfing experience. If you’re looking for a

casual group activity, consider a putting challenge on

our 18,000 square foot putting green at Glaze Meadow

golf course.

TRAIL RIDES Grab your boots and saddle up for a horseback ride at

the Black Butte Stables! Join the guides and their gen-

tle, trail-wise horses for a classic trail ride and explore

the forested trails of Central Oregon. Guided rides

are available for guests 7 years of age and older, year

round. All experience levels are welcome. The Stables

also offers a customized, full day adventure ride—ide-

al for a group. The BBR Stables are open year-round!

RAFTINGEnjoy whitewater thrills on nearby rivers as you ex-

perience the beauty of the Cascades. Available May

– September. Prices vary by trip length and location,

operated through our local expert rafting outfitters. All

outfitters pick up at the Ranch for your convenience.

BIKE RENTALSOur Rental Shop’s fleet of Giant Bicycles includes

Sedona hybrid bikes, Talon 27.5 mountain bikes and

a range of youth bikes, plus trailers and tagalongs to

tow the kids. Choose from a selection of road bikes for

putting in miles on the pavement and beach cruisers

with baskets for your pool gear. We also rent fatbikes, a

type of bicycle that uses an extra-large tire to provide

flotation, traction and stability on loose and inconsis-

tent terrain. Come check out and spin the new rental

fleet! Bikes for the entire family and child trailers.

POOLS Each of the five swimming pools at Black Butte Ranch

was designed for more than just taking a swim. They

are sanctuaries where you can relax in the sun and read

a good book, create exciting activities with your family

and take in the natural splendor and spectacular moun-

tain views. When not in the water, guests can lounge on

comfortable chairs under shady umbrellas while savoring

food and refreshments from our Bistro and Snack Shops.

LOCAL ATTRACTIONS Black Butte Ranch has amenities meant to entertain

and delight. With the appeal of a destination resort in

CANOES, KAYAKS, STAND UP PADDLEBOARDS The lifeguards at Lakeside pool can provide canoes,

kayaks & SUPs for use on Phalarope Lake. Paddles

and life jackets included. First come, first served.

TENNIS COURTSTennis enthusiasts may utilize 15 outdoor tennis courts

throughout the Ranch, including three lighted courts.

A set or two of tennis in our stunning natural environ-

ment is an experience not to be missed. Court reserva-

tions are required on most courts from Memorial Day

through Labor Day.

Wedding Details

HOURS OF SCHEDULED FUNCTIONSEvening functions include a total of seven hours of event

time and can be scheduled beginning at 4 pm. Outside

events must conclude by 10 pm, and our indoor events

conclude by 11 pm. Hosted or cash bars may not exceed

a six-hour time period.

DIETARY REQUESTSSpecial plates for vegetarian and vegan guests, or

those with other dietary restrictions or food allergies

can be prepared with advance notice. We ask that you

notify us of such at least 14 days prior to your event.

FOOD AND BEVERAGE MINIMUMEach venue has a food and beverage minimum, which

varies by season, time of day, and day of week.

MENU TASTINGA complimentary private menu tasting is offered for

every wedding that meets or exceeds a food and bev-

erage minimum of $10,000. The tasting appointment

will include selections from the meal portion only, to

include plated appetizer, soup or salad, and a main en-

trée. A minimum of two weeks’ notification is required;

tasting appointments should be scheduled no more

than six months prior to the event to ensure current

menu offerings. Up to four guests, including the bride

and groom, may attend the tasting appointment.

LODGINGThere is a lodging commitment associated with each

venue. A preferred rate will be offered for standard

lodging that will be extended to your guests. All lodg-

ing, including condos, homes, and cabins, will be ap-

plied toward your lodging minimum. All lodging must

be reserved through BBR Rental Program.

BBR CATERING SERVICE MANAGERAll weddings will be handled by our wedding specialist.

She will guide you toward realizing your vision to in-

clude all food and beverage offerings and all additional

services for your event. Your catering manager will be

assigned upon receipt of your signed contract.

DEPOSITSAn initial deposit is required at the time of signing a

contract to secure your reservation. A detailed schedule

of deposits will be outlined in your contract. Your final

estimated balance due will be required 30 days prior to

your event, based upon the estimate of charges that will

be provided by your wedding specialist. Deposits and

payments may be made in the form of a credit card, cash,

or check.

CANCELLATIONIn the event of cancellation for any reason, all deposits

are non-refundable and non-transferable. Any can-

cellation of your function must be received in writing.

Cancellation fees may also apply:

• More than 90 days prior to the event date: 70% of

total anticipated revenue

• 61 – 90 days prior to event date: 80% of total antici-

pated revenue

• 31 – 60 days prior to event date: 90% of total antici-

pated revenue

FINAL PAYMENTSPayment for 100% of the site fee is required to secure

your space. Payment for 100% of the food minimum is

required 60 business days prior to the event, 14 days

prior to your event payment of remaining estimated

F&B charges. Payment may be made with a credit card

or cashiers’ check. All remaining balances and gratuities

will be applied to the credit card on file at the conclu-

sion of the event.

GUARANTEEIt is the responsibility of the client to provide a

guaranteed number of guests fourteen business days

prior to the event. Final charges will be based on actual

attendance or the final guarantee submitted, whichever

number is greater.

GRATUITYAll F&B items are subject to a 22% service charge.

LIABILITYBlack Butte Ranch reserves the right to inspect and

control private functions and liability for damage on the

premises will be charged accordingly. The Ranch is not

responsible for personal items brought in for ceremo-

nies and receptions or for activities held off properties

at county and state parks, forests, etc.

FAQS

Can my dog be a part of the wedding?

Yes, your pooch can be part of your big day. Start with

honestly considering your dog’s temperament and

personality. Is he happy to meet and greet anyone and

everyone? It’s important to know what your dog will or

will not enjoy. Dogs with anxiety or socialization issues

should probably RSVP “no.”
