My husband and I live out of town and were looking for a venue that had a lot included so there was minimal for us to do!I was also looking for something that was not a traditional ballroom, as it was both of our second marriages. Not long

after we booked, the Covid-19 pandemic started. Dan, the wedding coordinator, was amazing! He was quick atresponding, and once we got closer and restrictions changed, he worked with management to figure out how to best help

us still get married-giving us multiple options to choose from. Having to do minimal with the vendors already contractedwith them was perfect for our out of town situation. The day of the wedding the staff was AMAZING! Dan and the rest of

the staff had taken care of everything. It was perfect. We would highly recommend the Gateway Clipper!

Frequently Asked QuestionsWHAT IS THE AMOUNT REQUIRED FOR A DEPOSIT & WHEN AREPAYMENTS DUE?We require an initial deposit of $2,500.00 for all weddings. The remainingestimated payments will be laid out into 4-5 additional payments from thecontract due date to 2 weeks before your big day!

CAN WE BRING OUR OWN ALCOHOL/LIQUOR OR FOOD ON BOARD?We cannot permit any outside alcohol or food to be brought onboard andconsumed. The exception would be a wedding cake or wedding cookies. It isthe policy of the Gateway Clipper Fleet that no food or beverage are to betaken off the vessel at the conclusion of the event.

ARE THERE BARTENDER FEES?Bartender fees are included in your package & we provide one bartenderfor every one-hundred guests. If you request additional bartenders, therewill be an additional charge.

ARE WE ALLOWED TO BRING COOKIES?Yes. You can bring cookies on trays at no additional charge. You can alsoorder cookies through one of our preferred vendors.

WHAT IF MY GUESTS OR ME HAVE DIETARY RESTRICTIONS?Special diets will be accommodated with notice at your final detailingappointment.

WHAT IS THE “GUARANTEED GUEST COUNT” AND WHEN IS IT DUE?Your “Guaranteed Guest Count” is the amount of people you expect toattend your reception/ceremony. The “Guarantee” is due no later than 14days prior to the date of your wedding. Once you have “Guaranteed” aspecific number, that number cannot be decreased but can be increasedwithin reason. You will be charged for the number of Guests that you“guarantee.”

CAN WE BRING OUR OWN DECORATIONS?Yes, but there are restrictions. No glitter, confetti or open flames are allowed.Crayons are not allowed, but washable markers are permitted. You are more thanwelcome to bring your own flowers or purchase centerpieces through one of ourvendors.

HOW MUCH TIME IS ALLOWED FOR DECORATING AND SET-UP?All vendors & decorators may have access to riverboat two hours prior to theboarding of the wedding. Our staff will handle set up of vessel in accordance withthe seating chart. We will set tables, chairs and linens. Excessive decor requestswill need to be handled by a representative of the client.

IS THERE A WEDDING ROOM AVAILABLE FOR THE WEDDING PARTY?Yes. Our Wedding Room is merely a holding space before the Wedding Party is toboard the vessel, the room is not equipped for the Wedding Party to get ready (hair,make up, etc). Please note there is limited space and availability.

CAN WE SAIL TO A SPECIFIC LOCATION FOR WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHS?Yes. We will happily sail to PNC Park, Heinz Field or Point State Park so that theselocations are the backdrop for your photos.

WHERE CAN MY GUESTS PARK?Parking is available in the adjacent lots next to the Gateway Clipper. These are paylots that are owned and operated by ABM Parking.

CAN I PICK UP MY ITEMS A DAY OR WEEK AFTER THE EVENT? Yes, we will hold your items for 7 days after your wedding date. The GatewayClipper Fleet is not responsible for any items left on the premises. After those 7days any items left will be discarded or made property of the Gateway ClipperFleet.
