The Victoria Hotel was built in the Victorian era by one of the areas

most famous families.

The hotel has begun a new era under new ownership and management

and has undergone a considerable amount of regeneration to restore

its original Victoriana whilst also ensuring a elegant, contemporary

theme throughout the hotel and event suites.

The ElizabethAptly named The Elizabeth, a room gives that sense of royal grandeur to

your celebrations, making the ideal setting for the bride and groom to feel

like king and queen on their special day.

Unique in its grandeur, The Elizabeth has patio doors leading onto the

hotel gardens which provides the ideal backdrop for capturing precious

photographic memories.

Enhanced with stunning chandeliers, The Elizabeth maintains its elegance

through dusk with a ceiling glistening with LED lights* draped in cloth to

create a skyline sparkle.

The Elizabeth is the largest of our suites and can accommodate 180 guests

for your wedding breakfast and 200 for your evening reception. Minimum

numbers apply.

The MacNeilThe MacNeil is the idyllic intimate suite in which our Victorian grandeur

continues. Fully refurbished its ornate detailing and character make it a

stunning choice.

Exquisite in its design, The MacNeil houses an exclusive bar and can

comfortably seat up to 70 guests for dining and 100 for your evening

reception.

The hotel is licensed for civil ceremonies, civil partnerships and renewal

of vows in both The Elizabeth and The MacNeil.

Our wedding co-ordinator will be happy to advise you on arranging a

civil ceremony at the hotel to ensure your marriage is tailored to your

specific requirements

Pre-wedding Party, Pamper Session & Preparation Package

Why not stay with us the night before your wedding & hold a small dinner party

for close friends & family in The George-Eliot. The George-Eliot is a secluded

suite alongside our recently refurbished rooms which is available to hire for

private dining & dressing. The twinning of the George-Eliot with The Marian

allows a stress free start to your celebrations and the package is available from

6pm on the eve of your wedding until 3pm on the day of your wedding.

Let your guests be our guests...

There is no need for your guests to worry about travelling home, they can fall

into freshly laundered sheets & awake refreshed to a complimentary breakfast

which will be offered to all your wedding guests staying with us.

Picture Perfect memories...

Wedding photographs and videos capture the essence of the day and we have

some beautiful settings. Your photographer and videographer are welcome to

visit us in advance with an appointment.

Venue Dressing & Decor

We have a close working relationship with all of our suppliers and therefore

expect high levels of attention to detail.

We have a range of ideas to inspire you in our wedding portfolio and we will be

delighted to discuss your requirements in detail with our wedding co-ordinator

Bespoke Ideas and Personal Requests...

We appreciate you want your special day to be unique and therefore we are

able to listen to all personal requests and ideas and will do our utmost to be

able to provide that service using our nominated suppliers

A portfolio of additional features is available should you aspire to have

something a little different at your wedding

The difference is in the detail...

Making a booking...

First check with the hotel that your chosen date is available

Make a provisional booking, this will be held for two weeks

A £500 deposit will be required along with a letter of confirmation

The booking will then be confirmed & contracts issued, we ask that contracts and terms & conditions are returned to us signed within 10 days

12 weeks before the wedding the hotel will contact you to make an appointment to discuss the details of you special day

An estimated invoice will be sent which is 75% payable, 8 weeks before the wedding

Two weeks beforehand we will contact you to make the final appointment whereby we discuss your final details & the balance is also payable

All prices are subject to change with notification. Prices quoted in this brochure are subject to a percentage annual increase

Please note minimum numbers will apply as outlined in our contract. On some occasion, a room hire charge may be applicable

From this day forward...Provision of wedding services at The Victoria Hotel

Cancellation...Any confirmed wedding reception that is cancelled with 133 days of the event will be charged a cancellation charge. Your initial deposit of £500 is non-refundable and non-transferrable. Once the final numbers and payment has been received two weeks prior, no refunds or credits will be given if numbers are reduced. We advise that the terms and conditions are read before the contract is signed.

How to find us:

From the M60 South, leave at Jct 22. Go straight on at the

lights onto the A6104. After 200 yards, continue past The

Mirror Group newspaper and Morrisons supermarket. The

hotel is the next left.

From the M60 North, leave at Jct 21, turn right at the

roundabout and then right again at the lights and then

move into the left hand lane. Take the first left on to Semple

Way (signposted Ashton-u-Lyne). At the end of this road

Morrisons will be facing you. Turn right at the traffic lights

and the hotel is on the left.

From central Manchester, follow the A62 Oldham Road

for approximately 4 miles. When you approach a sign for

‘housing units’ on the left hand side, move into the left

hand lane and at the traffic lights, turn left onto Hollinwood

Avenue A6104 and pass the Mirror Group newspapers then

Morrisons supermarket and the hotel is the next left.
