Firstly congratulations on your upcoming wedding. We are thrilled that you are considering

having us part of your special day.

Located in the scenic beachside suburb of Cottesloe, our championship golf course offers a

sophisticated backdrop to our clubhouse that can accommodate up to 130 guests seated

complete with a large dance floor, or 250 cocktail style.

The full length function room windows boast picturesque views of the of Cottesloe beach.

Your special day will be made extra special with menus, themes and services tailored to suit

your individual needs.

Our qualified and extremely talented Functions and Events Manager, will work together

with you, our executive chef and professional bar team to ensure all your needs and

expectations are met.

From intimate events, to those of a grand scale we will ensure your wedding is a memorable

one for you and your guests.

Hiring Your Venue

We have 3 different areas you can hire to cater for your event.

Main Room

Our Main Room is perfect for any your indoor wedding. From smaller more intimate events

to large extravagant weddings the room is a blank canvas. Floor to ceiling windows give an

amazing view of the ocean and allows lots of natural light to fill the room.

Monday – Saturday $1000 (ex GST)

Sunday $1500 (ex GST)

Public Holiday $2000 (ex GST)

Extra hours after 10pm Monday to Thursday

or 11pm Friday to Sunday incur a surcharge

of $100 per hour.

Court Yard and Grassed Area

The Court Yard and Grassed Area provides a breath taking setting for that all important

moment of ‘I do’. Set with an amazing view of the ocean and the course.

Depending on your desires and budget you can either have a set amount for your account to

run up to during the night or you can have your guests pay for their own as cash over the

The Club has an excellent in-house caterer, who’s chefs are committed to serving you a

delicious meal with exceptional, efficient service. Quality, consistency and value are the

underlying principles of our extensive service capabilities.

Their menu offers a wide variety of choices from simple yet tasty finger food and canapés,

breakfast pastries and sandwich platter lunches to formal sit-down buffet and set course

dinners at our classic clubhouse.

Customer Terms and Conditions

Tentative Bookings

Tentative bookings will be held for a period of 7 days and will automatically be cancelled unless a deposit has been paid or an agreement has been made to extend the period.

Confirmation and Deposit

Confirmation of your booking will be made by deposit. Deposit Terms are 50% of the total estimated venue booking amount. Absolute confirmation of your booking will not be applied until your deposit has cleared into our account. Deposits are due strictly as stated in the payment terms noted on your invoice. Upon settlement of your deposit you will be issued with a receipt and a confirmation of booking.

Upon confirmation of your booking the following documents are required:

1. A signed copy of our Terms and Conditions.

2. A completed credit/debit card authorisation form.

Account payment plan for functions booked 1 year or more in advance

50% of venue hire must be paid to secure date (see Tentative Bookings).

20% of the remaining booking amount is required to be paid 1 year in advance to function date.

50% of the remaining booking amount is required to be paid to be paid 6 months in advance to function date.

100% of the remaining booking amount is required to be paid 10 business days prior to the event, this amount is calculated on your final numbers.

Example payments due on a function estimated at $10 000 with a venue hire of $1400:

1 year + = $700

1 year = $1860

6 months = $3720

10 days = $3720

Account payment plan for functions booked less than 1 year in advance 50% of venue hire must be paid to secure date (see Tentative Bookings).

50% of the estimated catering amount due once catering option has been finalised

100% of the remaining booking amount is required to be paid 10 business days prior to the event, this amount is calculated on your final numbers.

*Alternative arrangements can be made with the Function Manager if these payments cannot be met within the deadlines.*

Final Settlement of Account

At the completion of your function/event a balance invoice will be generated. This invoice will be due within 7 days of the event.

Payments can be made via cash, cheque, EFTPOS or credit card.

In the event that your invoice is not paid in the 7 days or proved of payment has been provided to our office, we will debit the credit/debit card details provided. We ask that funds be available on the card for processing.

Any additional cleaning or damage costs will be notified to you before your card is debited.

Final Confirmation

All final requirements and arrangements need to be confirmed no less than 10 business days prior to the function. A guaranteed number of guests attending the function is required no less than 10 business days prior to the event. This will be considered the guaranteed number charged for, not subject to reduction or cancellation. Numbers may increase by up to 10% 3 days prior to your function and will be charged for accordingly.

Cancellations Policy

All cancellations must be made in writing to the Manager. The deposit is non-refundable. Cancellations made within 2 months of the function will be charged 10% of the estimated costs. Function cancelled less than 14 days of the function will be charged 30% of the estimated costs.

Price Variations

Please note that whilst prices are based on current costing, any increase or unavailability will be advised 10 business days prior to the event.

Responsible Service & Behaviour – PLEASE READ CAREFULLY

The Sea View Golf Club is a responsible purveyor of alcohol and has the right to refuse service of alcohol to any person, including private function guests.

Sea View Golf Club is strictly no ‘BYO’, if your guests choose to bring their own liquor onto the premises they will be asked to dispose or leave.

Under no circumstances may a minor consume alcoholic beverages on a licensed premise. Proof of age ID may be requested and failure to produce such a document will result in the withholding of beverage service. If any other guests buy alcohol for a minor the staff reserve the right to ask both the minor and the other party to leave the premise. All laws relating to the “Liquor Act” must be adhered to.

The Club Liquor License expires at midnight and thus last beverages will be served at 11:30pm unless licence has been extended. Please note Sunday Liquor License runs till 10pm.

Catering If you want to bring in any

Staffing

Any additional staff or hours requested over and above what the House and Functions Manager determines adequate for function service will be charged at a rate of $35 per hour per staff member. Initial venue hire includes staff (as above) however if the function surpasses 11pm $100 for each hour that guests are on site will be charged on top of initial venue hire fee.

Smoking

The Sea View Golf Club is a non-smoking venue and smoking is only permitted in the designated area.

Damages & Personal Belongings

The organiser of the event has full responsibility for the conduct of their guests and therefore any damage or losses caused to the clubhouse property during the event by the actions of the organiser or the organiser’s guest becomes the financial responsibility of the organiser. The club is always extremely careful when looking after people and their belongings; however, we cannot take responsibility for damage or loss of merchandise left on the premises, prior to, during or after the function.

Decorations

The function venue can be decorated to your personalised colour scheme or theme. Please note that nothing is to be nailed, screwed, stapled or adhered to any wall, door or surface of the building. The Manager must approve all signage in the public area.

Confetti, rice or glitter are not permitted anywhere within the building or grounds. Rose petals are welcome however.

Entertainment

You are most welcome to choose your own form of entertainment, should you require any advice we are happy to help. Inappropriate entertainment and Strippers are strictly prohibited from our venue. We will not be held responsible or accountable for the actions and/or performance(s) of any entertainer(s)/entertainment provided.

Should any damage to the venue result from the actions of your booked entertainment, you as the venue hirer are responsible for their actions. In the case that something does happen it is your responsibility to deal with this directly with your entertainment provider.

The front and back doors must be kept closed at all times past 10pm. Sea View Golf Club is in a residential area and must abide the reasonable noise curfew put in place by the Cottesloe Council.

Use or Hire of Equipment

Sea View Golf Club has a supply of different equipment items that you may wish to use for your event. Please note that some items will incur a usage fee. A list of equipment and hire costs are available on request.

You are more than welcome to use a third party equipment supplier. However, please note that all equipment used must be approved by the clubs functions and events coordinator. If any equipment hire from the club is damaged or lost during the function the cost with be passed onto the venue hirer, this is not limited but includes chair sashes, cover, cutlery and napkins.

Should any damage to the venue or equipment result from the actions of the third party equipment provider, you as the venue hirer are responsible for their actions. In the case that any damage is caused to the venue it is your responsibility, as the venue hirer. You are to deal directly with your third party equipment provider to reimburse you of any charges that may be applied by Sea View Golf Club as a result of damages.

Delivery and Pick Up

All deliveries to venues must be advised to the functions/events coordinator, prior and marked with the name and date of the event. Cakes should be delivered on the day of the function; cakes should be stored in a protective box or container. Whilst every effort will be made to protect and assist in the movement of goods, Sea View Golf Club and its staff will not be liable for any damages.

Cleaning

The client and guests are obligated to remove their belongings and decorations when the event has concluded. All rubbish is to be placed into the allocated receptacles. The kitchen and facilities must be returned to the same condition as prior to the event and if outside catering is used kitchen must be swept and mopped. If these conditions are not met a cost will be incurred.
