The KVBC Trust (formerly known as the Kuala Lumpur Christian Conference) is best known for organising the
annual Klang Valley Bible Conference (KVBC) and the associated Expository Preaching Seminars (EPS). The
ministry has now expanded to Ipoh (Ipoh Bible Conference and Expository Preaching Seminars) and Penang
(Penang Bible Conference and Expository Preaching Seminars).
The KVBC Trust was formed in 1997 with a single purpose: to encourage godliness through expository Bible
teaching.
In 1999, the KVBC Trust together with Evangel Book Centre, organised the first Klang Valley Bible Conference
(KVBC). This conference has since become an annual event with preachers such as Don Carson, David Cook,
David Jackman, Bryan Chappel, Mike Raiter and John Woodhouse expounding God's Word. Expository
Preaching Seminars (EPS), aimed at pastors, preachers and teachers, have been organised in conjunction
with KVBC since 2001. Each year, EPS seeks to encourage and strengthen Christian leaders in an aspect of
expository preaching.
In 2009, we held our first Expository Preaching Seminars in Ipoh and Penang. In 2010, the Penang Bible
Conference was launched and in 2011, the first Ipoh Bible Conference was launched.

Equip is the agent in West Malaysia for the External Studies Department of Moore Theological College in
Sydney. The Distance Education Course (previously known as the Certificate in Theology), offered by Moore
Theological College, is a well-established distance education course used throughout the world. It is
renowned for its ability to help students engage with the Bible, theology and Church History. The course is
designed to be flexible, allowing students to study individually or in a group and at their own pace, sitting for
an exam at the end of the term. Equip recommends study in groups and provides groups and
teachers/facilitators to help you get the most out of the course.
Who Can Do The Course?

We run 10 classes for Bible Overview on Tuesday evenings (8pm to 10pm) in a church in KL, starting from 2
June 2015 and on Saturday mornings (10am to 12pm) in a church in Kota Damansara, starting from 13 June

Equip is partnering with the Christian Counselling & Educational Foundation (CCEF), to prepare Christians for
works of ministry. Through this partnership, CCEF’s online courses on biblical counselling are now available
to Malaysian students at a discounted rate. The classes offer a biblical foundation for understanding God,
understanding ourselves, and understanding others--a valuable tool for anyone involved in ministry or
counseling.
Courses are taught online using engaging video and audio resources presented by CCEF Faculty on their
online classrooms, accessible from anywhere in the world with an internet connection. Weekly assignments
and readings together with an online student forum allow participants to have interactive online
communities as they study. In addition students have an instructor available online to grade papers and
support them through the course.
Who Can Take The Course?
Anyone who wants to be better equipped to minister to those around them. Current students include
pastors, elders, youth workers, small group leaders, doctors, lay people who want to be better equipped to
help friends, those who will go on to be professional counselors and many others.
A range of counselling subjects are offered including Dynamics of Biblical Change, Helping Relationships,
Counseling in the Local Church, Marriage Counseling, Theology and Secular Psychology, Human Personality
and Biblical Interpretation.
These and other classes are offered three times per year (January, May, and September).
How Do I Get More Information Or Sign Up?
