CWC Fall Mum Sale

The St. Peter Catholic Woman's Club is sponsoring a Fall Mum Sale. We are taking orders for 8" pots at $10.00 each and 12"

pots at $20.00 each. Colors to choose from are bronze, purple, red, and yellow. Please fill out an order form. Payment must ac-company your order. Make checks payable to St. Peter Church CWC. You may drop your order with payment into the collection

basket or mail it to the St. Peter Church office. Order forms are in the church vestibule, and the deadline is Wed., August 29th.

Mass for the Conversion of Lost Souls Cathedral of Saint Joseph, Wheeling, WV

Monday, Aug. 27, 2018, Memorial of Saint Monica, 6pm This fourth-century saint was a Christian, but her husband was a pagan, and her son Augustine went astray in faith and morals. Monica's virtues and prayers converted them after many years.

The Cathedral will celebrate this Mass on her feast day to pray in a special way for all those who have wandered from the

faith. During the Mass, everyone will have an opportunity to write down the names of their loved ones and entrust them to the pow-

erful intercession of Saint Monica.

September 15th Book Club Meeting The St. Peter Parish Book Club will meet at 10am on Saturday, September 15 at Leonardo's (the new coffee shop downtown) to

discuss The Screwtape Letters by C.S. Lewis. All are invited.

CWC Meeting St. Peter's Catholic Woman's Club will hold its next monthly meet-ing on Tuesday, Sep. 4 at 12 noon in the church hall. All women

attending are asked to please bring a side dish. Thank you.

EDGE Junior High Kick-Off! Come Kick-Off with a bonfire, s'mores and games at Drake &

Thanks to all of you who have already pledged to the 2018 Diocesan/Parish Share Campaign. As of August 21st 125 fami-

lies have pledged $53,221.00 to this year’s campaign. This amount puts our parish over our goal of $50,409.00 by $2,812.00. This amount and all future pledges will be returned to St. Peter Parish. Please remember that we need this rebate money to help

with our regular expenses. May God reward your generosity!

Blue Mass All are invited to attend a special Blue Mass with bishop

Monforton in honor of our local Police Officers, Firefighters, EMS personnel, Correctional Officers, Dispatchers, and

911 Operators. Sunday, September 9, 2018 ~ 10:00am at St. Peter Catholic Church. All Police, Fire, EMS and safe-ty personnel are invited to attend with their families (please be at the church by 9:45am “in uniform”). A group picture with Bishop Monforton will be taken before the Mass, the blessing of safety vehicles will follow Mass, as well as a

reception in the basement.

CCHS Reverse Raffle The Steubenville Catholic Central High School Athletic Boosters will be hosting their annual Reverse Raffle on
