Redstone Arsenal, AL 35898|www.amc.army.mil TACOM Safety Office recognized with awards WARREN, Mich. – The Tank-automotive and Armaments Command Safety and Occupational Health Office received two Department of the Army level awards and three Army Materiel Command awards for their work in promoting safe and productive workplace environments. The awards included an Individual Award for Excellence in Safety, an Exceptional Organization Safety Award at the two-star level of command at the DA and AMC levels, and AMC’s Exceptional Organizational Safety Award at the brigade level. Reforming the Munitions Organic Industrial Base ROCK ISLAND ARSENAL, Ill. – The Joint Munitions Command is applying new methods with the objective of reforming the Munitions Organic Industrial Base. Through the use of metrics, greater standardization and better command oversight over installations, JMC is supporting material readiness in a more efficient and effective way. “There is no debate that JMC is readiness driven,” said Walt Songaila, Director of JMC OIB Support Directorate. AMC Human Resource professionals synchronize efforts REDSTONE ARSENAL, Ala. – Human Resources professionals from across the Army Materiel Command enterprise, including its depots, arsenals and activities, shared ideas and synchronized efforts during a workshop in support of AMC Organic Industrial Base Readiness, June 25-27. The HR professionals discussed the most effective methods to retain and support the command’s 100,000 DA civilian employees. Sustaining data delivery on the future Army network ABERDEEN PROVING GROUND, Md. – Today the Army is working toward a reliable, resilient and adaptable network that can operate in contested electromagnetic spectrum and cyber environments. As the Army’s network sustainer, the Communications-Electronics Command has a critical role in fully unifying the network by 2028 both within the Integrated Tactical Network and the Integrated Enterprise Network. Aviation, missile commander addresses workforce REDSTONE ARSENAL, Ala. – Employees of the Aviation and Missile Command heard directly from their new commander, Brig. Gen. Todd Royar, on what matters to him and what he expects of them during his first town hall July 2. “What matters to me is the Soldier in the field,” Royar said as he focused on a silhouetted photo of a Soldier. “Their gender, race or religion does not matter. They are American Soldiers and we are all here to support them. Every individual Soldier matters.”
