If you have ever abused drugs or alcohol, do you identify with Isaiah’s statement, “they have no regard for the deeds of the Lord?” Share an example of your pursuing pleasure, which left God out and allowed sin to enter your life?

How often do you think about your body as God’s temple? If we really believed this, how would our views of alcohol and drug abuse change?

What should the Church’s stance be on drug or alcohol abuse within the body of believers? For people who are addicted to drugs, what role could the Church play in their recovery?
