Week 3
5th Class Suggestions
As week 3 rolls around of home-schooling, we have put together another week’s work for the
children. We are aware of how stressful this time is for families and don’t wish to add to that
stress, however, these are some ideas that may keep you going in your home.
We plan to run the SESE topics for 2 weeks' work. The children can express their learning in
any way that they wish. It can be a project, a video presentation, a quiz(kahoot), a PowerPoint
presentation, a drama, written diary entries, a song, poetry, a narrative story, a drawing, a
painting.
There are many different ways to show learning, allowing your child to be creative and
independent.

5th Class Teachers
English:
- Keep a daily diary of their own personal experience of the school closure. They can
include drawings, poetry, newspaper clippings that they find interesting.
- Continue work with Read at Home daily from where the children left off.
- Continue with English in Practice from where the children left off.
- Epic Reading- Explore their interests. Summarise non-fiction reading.
- DEAR time with your own novel. Complete a Tic/ Tac/ Toe activity.
