the number of words in the sentence using fingers. What is the first word in our sentence?
What is the next word etc.?
What do I need to remember at the beginning/end of a sentence? Read the sentence to
check it makes sense. Ask the children to write their sentence about the characters.

you can. Use the word mat from earlier in the week to support.
