Week 4 Term 4, 2010 Principal’s Report Dear Parents Welcome to Week 4 of our final term for 2010. We are already well underway with our planning for 2011. I hope everyone has put all the important dates for the remainder of the year on the family calendar as we have a lot of events coming up. We have a couple of variations to routine that have been beyond our control. Firstly, the P&C fundraiser night at McDonalds has had to be postponed until next year. McDonalds double booked us with another organisation so we will not be having our night next Tuesday. The P&C will arrange another date early in the new year. The P&C would also like to thank everyone who helped out by sending gifts for the Christmas raffle. Tickets will be going home soon. They will be drawn on the final night of the musical. And on the subject of the musical, we have changed the date of the matinee to Monday 6 th December. Mr Hodge is required at a DET event on the Tuesday, and as it is his final year at the school and as he was the instigator of the annual musical, it is only appropriate that he is able to be there for the matinee. I apologise if this causes any inconvenience. The evening session times have not changed. A note went home on Monday with all details of the musical. If you have any questions about the class items and arrangements please speak to your child’s class teacher. The Stage 3 students are looking forward to their annual camp and will leave for Mogo Town early on Wednesday morning. When they return they will be busy with their preparations for end of year events and transition to high school. We were very pleased with the large number of our students who were accepted into the Gifted and Talented class at Morisset HS. These students were from both Mrs Nichols’ and Mr Groves’ classes which was an affirmation of the great work we do here at MPS. Before they leave, we have much work to do here and I am certainly looking forward to a productive time over the rest of this term.
