YEAR 10 NEWSLETTER Week 7. Hi all, I know that it has been a challenging term for you all but again I would like to tell you how proud I am of every single one of you. You have shown resilience when times have been tough and self motivation to keep working hard even though times are very different.. Make sure that you have a break from your studies over the coming Whitsun half term and take some quality down time for yourself. Do something you enjoy; try and new hobby, do a kind thing for someone or just chill at home with a good box set. Complete whatever you enjoy and try the riddles and perhaps a bit of family cooking. What is the minimum age for TikTok app? 13 is the minimum age according to TikToks terms and condi- tions. How does TikTok work? When you download the app, you can instantly see the videos that others have posted on the channel but are not able to share or post anything until you have set up your own account. Is it safe? There are issues with anonymity around TikTok – people are not required to verify their identity when making an account. This reduces the accountability among its users and therefore makes it possible for someone to send abusive messages without consequences. With such a young minimum age, parents must monitor what videos are being posted and who can see them. Ensure youre aware of who is speaking to you on this app – are people who they say they are? THINK – what am I posting on the internet? Who can see it? Is it going to affect my future? Recipe for the Half Term. As you have a whole week off from learning, I have a more challenging recipe for this week. Spaghe Bolognese Ingredients 1 tbsp. olive oil 500g Beef Mince 2 stalks of celery 150g Mushroom, sliced 400g n of chopped tomatoes 500g Spaghe Method: 1. Heat oil in a large pan. Add mince and season. Cook for 5-10 minutes unl brown. 2. Add celery, mushrooms and cook for a further 3-5 minutes. 3. Add tomatoes along with 200ml water. Bring to the boil and then reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes. 4. Cook spaghe as per instrucons on the bag. Drain and serve with sauce.

Ingredients

1 tbsp. olive oil

500g Beef Mince

2 stalks of celery

150g Mushroom, sliced

400g tin of chopped tomatoes

500g Spaghetti

Method:

1. Heat oil in a large pan. Add mince and season. Cook for 5-10 minutes until brown.

2. Add celery, mushrooms and cook for a further 3-5 minutes.

3. Add tomatoes along with 200ml water. Bring to the boil and then reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes.

4. Cook spaghetti as per instructions on the bag. Drain and serve with sauce.
