ARTWORK OPTION 1: CREATE A SELF-PORTRAITVan Gogh is famous for his self-portraits. No one knows exactly how many he created, butover 40 can be seen in museums and galleries around the world today.

Today you can create your own self portrait (A drawing or painting of yourself). Look in themirror and fill these frames with two versions of your own self-portrait.As you draw think about the following:

- What facial expressions will you have (happy/sad/excited etc)- Your pose- Your hairstyle- What clothes and accessories you are wearing

OPTIONAL EXTRA: If you have access to a printer, you can print the frame on page 5 todraw your portrait in.

1) Chalk Drawing: If you have some chalk and a driveway or paved area at home, havea go at creating a large chalk drawing! What do you notice about making art on alarge scale?

2) Water Painting: If you have a dry driveway or paved area at home, use a largepaintbrush and water to paint a design onto the dry concrete. How large can youmake your artwork, and how long does your art last before the water evaporates?

Hello, I know how creative all the students at GWPS are, and as the lockdown has beenextended I know there will be some learners looking for extra creative ideas to do over theweekend or in your spare time.

Please see below a list of ideas on how to be creative at home!

1 - Create a Mini Art GalleryCreate a mini art gallery by making tiny artworks, you can invite your toys or family membersto come to the gallery and visit your mini art show.

2 - Make some playdough and create some super creationsIf you are wanting to mix baking with Art, why not make your own playdough! 4 - Photography Scavenger HuntUse the following list to take photos of, how many things can you photograph? If you have agreat time completing this list, ask a family member to create a more challenging list for you!

5 - Recycled SculpturesUsing items in your recycling bin, create some interesting sculptures. You could use emptyboxes, egg cartons, plastic bottles, empty toilet rolls or empty food packaging.Some ideas you could create:

- Robots- Stationary/Pen Holder- Puppets- Animals- Buildings- Cars
