Learning Intention: To use clear communication skills to describe a hidden object. Task:
● Choose an item in your house. ● Think of some ways you can describe it.
What colour is it? What shape is it? Is it heavy or light? What do you use it for?
● Hide the object behind your back and give clues to a partner.
● Your partner needs to guess what the object is.
● Repeat this for 10 objects. ● You may like to reverse the roles to
practise your listening skills.

GeographyPeople Live in Places- Lesson 8
Learning Intention: To identify places that are significant to Aborigianal people.
Success Criteria:I can identify a place that is significant to Aboriginal people.
Instructions:1. This term we have looked at places and features that are important to us at home and at school. Today we are looking at places that are important and significant to Aborigianl people. 3. Click here to see some places that are special to Aboriginal people. 4. Complete the assigned activity on Seesaw by choosing one place you have learnt about in this lesson and share a fact about the place. You can also add a drawing!
Uluru
Uluru is a resting place for Aboriginal people. The wildlife around Uluru is a source of food.
Rainbow Valley
Rainbow Valley is known for its sandstone cliffs that have been shaped by water erosion. It is filled with Aboriginal history because it hides lots of rock engravings and paintings.
Willandra Lakes Region
The Willandra Lakes region is the traditional meeting place of 3 Aborignal tribes; Muthi Muthi, Nyiampaar and Barkinji.
Water Holes
Water holes were used by the local clans for sharpening tools and possibly as a source of fresh drinking water.
Science Animals can adapt to weather
Learning Intention: To understand how blubber keeps animals warm.
Success Criteria: I can explain what blubber is. I can identify animals that have blubber. Instructions:1.Last week we learnt what 'adaptation' means. The way animals prepare their body for different types of weather is called adaptation. 2.Today we are going to learn about 'blubber' as one of the forms of adaptation some animals have. Blubber is an extra layer of fat animals have to keep warm in their cold environment. 3.Watch this video to learn more then answer these questions:-What are some animals that have blubber?-How would blubber feel if you touched it?-What are 2 animals that don't have blubber?4.Draw 2 animals that have blubber to keep them warm on this worksheet and complete the sentence at the bottom.

How Many More Learning Intention: To compare two groups of objects to find out how many more.

Level 1-Get a pile of objects such as counters, blocks, pasta etc.
-Roll 2 dice, (or use the online dice roller).
-Make 2 towers/rows out of the objects you chose to show the numbers you rolled.
-Find the difference by saying. "There are ? more blocks in the ? tower/row."
Level 3-Get a pile of objects such as counters, blocks, pasta etc and 2 cups.
-Randomly sort your pile of objects into two uneven groups.
-Count each group then quickly cover with a cup.
-Think about each groups' number. How many more in the larger group?
-Check your working out by revealing the objects and lining them up.
